Systems Engineer

Role Description As a Systems Engineer III, you will lead the development, integration, and delivery of complex hybrid systems involving software, networking, and hardware. You will own efforts from specifications through rollout, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance throughout the system lifecycle. In this role, you will help shape resilient enterprise-grade solutions while serving as a key technical liaison across cross-functional teams. - Lead end-to-end systems engineering efforts, including requirements analysis, architecture design, implementation, testing, and deployment. - Integrate network operating systems, application software, and hardware devices into cohesive, functional systems. - Oversee development cycles for hybrid web, software, and hardware products, ensuring quality, timelines, and adherence to engineering best practices. - Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for complex systems. - Collaborate with stakeholders to balance technical solutions with cost, scheduling, and organizational considerations. Qualifications - Demonstrates a dedication to upholding and enhancing STI Federal’s core values. - Excels in a collaborative team environment, fostering positive relationships and contributing to shared goals with professionalism and mutual respect. - Demonstrates strong abilities in systems architecture, systems integration, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting of complex hybrid systems. - Proficiency in network operating systems, programming/scripting, hardware integration, and system testing methodologies. Requirements - Education: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. - Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in systems engineering. - Clearance: Secret clearance, at a minimum, or ability to obtain one. Preferred Qualifications - Education: Advanced degree or relevant industry certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, AWS/Azure certifications). - Experience: Experience leading large-scale systems engineering efforts, managing cross-functional teams, and supporting enterprise or government environments. Compensation & Work Environment - Salary Range: Dependent on experience. - Environment: Remote, hybrid, on-site, or other environment details per hiring manager.
