Job Description
Technical Product Engineer (AI chips and systems)
Tensordyne
Role Description To keep developing world-class AI Inference compute systems (from silicon to software), we're looking for an experienced Technical Product Director who is passionate about AI inference compute in datacenters, across the entire stack (hardware and software). We need a self-starter to work directly with one of our founders to help focus AI compute product efforts that will define the future of inference at customers of Tensordyne. The successful candidate will have a years-long background in engineering enabling them to have a deep technical understanding of most if not all dimensions of the product, along with experience in product management, business development and spot great communication and networking skills. If that's you, then we'd love to talk to you! Where you'd help us: - Leading the definition of Tensordyne's next generation of AI inference compute products, with an innovative yet pragmatic and well-communicated technology roadmap in alignment with and with influence on the company’s GTM strategy. - Engaging with our external technology partners, customers, AI industry researchers and internal engineering & business stakeholders to coalesce insights and requirements into winning AI product plans and strategies. - Researching, defining and driving essential competitive analysis, key metrics tracking, cost modeling, customer demos, and product release schedules to ensure Tensordyne's superiority to alternative solutions. - Overseeing and ensuring the success of key customers' projects, anticipating their software and hardware needs, while reacting as necessary to pertinent feedback. - Working hand-in-hand with marketing to design marketing campaigns with the goal of promoting Tensordyne's AI technology, products and demonstrating thought leadership. Qualifications - Deep in-field engineering experience across multiple dimensions of our product stack (AI models (text, audio, image, video), AI-centric applications, AI inference KPI optimization, silicon design, hardware design, compilers, inference servers, rack-mounted compute systems, datacenter networking, datacenter storage, multimedia processing, datacenter systems, cloud computing, datacenter maintenance/telemetry). - Strong product mindset/technical product management experience with a passion for finding the perfect balance between customer-centric product design & engineering, and driving disruptive innovation within the boundaries of the customer. - Real-world, in-field experience of how datacenter AI compute solutions and their (newcomer) vendors are vetted, selected, procured, set up, managed, maintained, monitored and served. - Exceptionally strong communication, presentation and interpersonal collaboration skills. - A track record of producing and driving technology product roadmaps from early requirements gathering to cost modeling, to production and commercialization with global customers (fine if this was from an engineering role, as an IC strongly involved in vast areas of similar products). - An understanding of modern machine learning architectures and applications with a keen interest in optimizing their performance and an intrinsic passion and drive to gain an exhaustively holistic understanding of all parts involved end-to-end. - Strong project management mindset - the successful candidate is a natural organizer, with customer empathy and able to multitask and prioritize within a demanding environment. - BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field.
