Role Description The Lead MuleSoft Engineer provides technical leadership and integration expertise for MuleSoft‑based solutions across the organization. This role is responsible for designing, building, and governing scalable, secure, and reusable APIs and integrations that align with the enterprise integration architecture and overall business strategy. The individual collaborates with cross‑functional teams, architects, and partners to deliver reliable end‑to‑end system connectivity while mentoring engineers and promoting best practices across the integration landscape. - Contribute to the enterprise integration strategy by defining API‑led connectivity patterns that support business scalability, agility, and reuse. - Advocate for standard integration approaches aligned with enterprise architecture principles. - Architectural Oversight: Lead the design, development, and implementation of MuleSoft integrations and APIs across system, data, and process layers. Ensure integrations are resilient, secure, and performant, supporting mission‑critical business processes. - Team Lead: Lead and mentor MuleSoft engineers, supporting skill development, code quality, and adoption of best practices. Provide technical guidance, design reviews, and solution validation across projects. - Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and application teams to translate requirements into effective integration solutions. Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure alignment to internal integration standards. - Solution Design: Oversee the design of integrated solutions that may span multiple platforms and applications, ensuring inter-operability and scalability. - Stay Updated: Monitor Mulesoft's evolving capabilities and trends in the ecosystem. Ensure the organization maximizes the value from updates and new features. - Governance: Establish and enforce Mulesoft standards, guidelines, best practices, and approved patterns. - Performance Tuning: Ensure solutions are optimized for performance and user experience. - Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and provide mitigation strategies. - Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure cohesive integration and alignment with architectural standards. - Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications - Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, including its capabilities, limitations, and integration patterns. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Knowledge of other enterprise IT systems, middleware, and database technologies. - Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies. Requirements - Proven experience in a leadership role related to Mulesoft and additional Integration platform. - 10+ Years of experience in the Mulesoft/Salesforce ecosystem. - Deep understanding of Mulesoft architecture, design patterns and best practices with extensive experience designing solutions, leading architectural/integration discussions. - May hold advanced certifications such as Mulesoft platform Integration Architect. Education/Certification - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. - Mulesoft certifications are highly desired. Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. - Occasional travel may be required for meetings, trainings, or conferences. - Potential for remote work.
