• Use your experience to work with Veterans Affairs (VA) Information System Owners (ISO), Information System Security Officers (ISSO), site managers, and other system stakeholders to coordinate and drive the completion of Risk Management Framework (RMF) steps 0-6 ATO activities and requirements • Identify and mitigate risks, escalate project risks to leadership, understand and apply VA authorization policies and processes, and provide information system security expertise • Ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for information systems throughout the system’s lifecycle from product acquisition and installation through decommission • Complete and maintain very detailed security documentation and coordinate to execute ATO support duties that documents security details related to system installations, a variety of IT systems, networks, hardware, and software in a variety of complex and simple installation sites • Work with your client to translate security concepts into actionable implementable solution recommendations to help the client make informed security decisions from all aspects of IT deployments ensuring full commissioning is completed through deployment into production and decommissioning • Act as an information security and RMF subject matter expert while broadening your skills in cybersecurity.

• Execute the VA Enterprise Risk Analysis process using a custom ERA tool to identify key cyber security risk factors in network connected medical devices and Special Purpose Systems • Summarize, evaluate, and report risk factors using quantitative and qualitative scores for awareness of residual cyber risk • Acquire, review and leverage system documentation and data gathered through questionnaires and interviews • Document critical security posture elements in a common reporting format • Perform annual reviews to support effective continuous monitoring • Collaborate with Federal and contractor team mates for best outcomes in the ERA process

• Utilize your skills in enterprise-level triage and incident resolution while gaining experience in VA system infrastructure. • Use modern system monitoring tools to improve VA enterprise reliability and improve the quality of services provided to veterans. • Work with system and application owners to obtain existing design and functionality, leverage comprehension of workflow systems and applications processes within multiple system environments and work across technology and development teams to diagnose outages and recommend changes to increase reliability. • Use your hardware and software experience to help strengthen the systems the VA relies on. Your primary focus will be investigation, working with event management, application owners, DevOps teams, and system and network administrators to examine issues across enterprise applications and technology stacks. • Partner with system and application owners to understand their platform designs and how they operate across different environments. This insight will help you diagnose outages, trace workflow issues, and recommend changes that enhance stability. • Collaborate with developers and identity and access teams when deeper technical investigations are needed. • You’ll gain hands‑on experience with enterprise‑level triage and incident analysis, which will deepen your understanding of the VA’s infrastructure. Tools like SolarWinds, Dynatrace, and Splunk will be part of your daily workflow, giving you the visibility needed to identify reliability concerns and support improvements to the services delivered to veterans.

• Support application packaging, deployment, and endpoint engineering activities across the enterprise environment. • Assist with testing, validation, configuration management, and deployment readiness activities for endpoint configurations, applications, patches, and device-related solutions. • Participate in scrum ceremonies, working sessions, operational meetings, and technical collaboration forums. • Assist with troubleshooting endpoint-related issues and support operational sustainment and engineering activities as needed. • Coordinate with endpoint engineering, infrastructure, networking, security, and support teams to help ensure successful implementation efforts. • Support documentation efforts related to testing procedures, deployment activities, technical configurations, and operational processes. • Contribute to maintaining secure, stable, and standardized endpoint operations across the environment. • Support ongoing engineering initiatives within the Desktop Device & Engineering organization, including efforts related to Intune security policies, deployment activities, sustainment, and troubleshooting. • Function as a versatile contributor capable of adapting to shifting priorities and supporting multiple engineering workstreams as operational needs evolve.

• Provide support services for all aspects of the Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS) software development process. • Ensure software development uses Agile methodologies, test-driven development principles, with robust documentation, user centered design, and an extensible infrastructure. • Maintain application software and COTS software. • Responsible for the design, coding, testing, quality assurance, deployment, software configuration management, and program documentation.

• Work as an Instrumentation Engineer on our team as we help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in performance monitoring. • Work directly on assigned ServiceNow tasks. • Perform as the technical POC for customers as you contribute to monitoring solution design, implement and execute the monitoring solution, resolve technical issues, update ServiceNow Visual Task Boards to document work, and actively participate in quality assurance efforts. • Apply your knowledge to perform routine work such as adding and removing devices from Dynatrace and other monitoring tools like SolarWinds.
