Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guidewire Functional Lead to join our growing delivery team in the service industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing functional leadership in the design, configuration, and delivery of Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter) implementations. You will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable, effective solutions aligned with client business goals. - Act as a functional lead for Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter). - Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and convert them into functional specifications. - Lead functional workshops with clients and internal teams. - Collaborate with Guidewire developers to design and validate technical solutions that meet business needs. - Provide guidance on product capabilities, limitations, and best practices. - Perform configuration tasks using Guidewire tools such as Guidewire Studio. - Support testing, training, and production rollouts. - Lead and mentor junior functional analysts. - Serve as the primary functional point of contact for client stakeholders. - Ensure timely delivery and quality of functional deliverables. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in the insurance domain with a minimum of 3+ years as a Guidewire Functional Analyst or Consultant. - Hands-on experience in at least one Guidewire module (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter). - Strong knowledge of insurance industry practices and terminology. - Proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and functional design. - Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies. - Excellent client-facing and communication skills. - Ability to lead functional teams and manage client expectations. - Experience with Guidewire Data Model, Product Model, and Configurations. - Guidewire certification (Business Analyst or Functional Consultant) is preferred. Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in IT. - Minimum 0-2 years of hands-on experience in AWS. - Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Experience with IaC and configuration management tools (Terraform). - Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions). - Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, etc.). - Certifications in AWS preferred. - Additional AWS Specialty certification (Security or Advanced Networking preferred). - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Provide technical leadership to the Azure Cloud Managed Services Team and level 2 and 3 support for cloud managed services customers. • Work through an on-call rotation with team members to cover cloud managed services accounts. • Serve as technical escalation point for Azure Managed Services Resources. • Regularly interface with technical and business staff of customers, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagements. • Mentor other engineers to apply engineering background knowledge for project design, analysis, and project coordination of services or products. • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to execute technical change implementations and problem resolutions, manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are being met. • Work with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to support cloud deployment strategies. • Serve as a collaborative support across internal teams and clients when necessary, using experience and judgment to communicate effectively to all parties. • Serve as technical point of contact on customer engagements taking control of complex or vague problems and coordinating resolutions in a rational way. • Assist in infrastructure automation efforts using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. • Provide customer support and delivery excellence for cloud design, management, automation, and integration within Azure environments, perform routine monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Azure environments.
