Senior Consulting Engineer, Azure
CDW
• Provide technical leadership to the Azure Cloud Managed Services Team and level 2 and 3 support for cloud managed services customers. • Work through an on-call rotation with team members to cover cloud managed services accounts. • Serve as technical escalation point for Azure Managed Services Resources. • Regularly interface with technical and business staff of customers, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagements. • Mentor other engineers to apply engineering background knowledge for project design, analysis, and project coordination of services or products. • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to execute technical change implementations and problem resolutions, manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are being met. • Work with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to support cloud deployment strategies. • Serve as a collaborative support across internal teams and clients when necessary, using experience and judgment to communicate effectively to all parties. • Serve as technical point of contact on customer engagements taking control of complex or vague problems and coordinating resolutions in a rational way. • Assist in infrastructure automation efforts using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. • Provide customer support and delivery excellence for cloud design, management, automation, and integration within Azure environments, perform routine monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Azure environments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years total Information Technology experience, to include experience in delivering complex technical solutions, including planning, development, implementation, and support.
- Or, 9+ years total Information Technology experience, to include experience in delivering complex technical solutions, including planning, development, implementation, and support.
- Additional Microsoft certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-700, or SC-300, a plus.
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python, a plus.
- Exposure to cloud automation and DevOps methodologies, a plus.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices, a plus.
- Experience working within an Agile team environment, a plus.
