Senior Software Engineer

NexHealth

Role Description NexHealth has built the world’s most advanced healthcare integration API that synchronizes in real-time. With our real-time integration with electronic health record systems (EHRs), we help developers at tech companies like Swell, Truelark, Quip, Cherry, and more quickly build products and services that synchronize with EHR systems. NexHealth has also built our own doctor facing SaaS product on top of our own API. You’ll work on some of our most challenging problems, including: - Building an open data lake for health records. - Building dev ops for our next 100x growth. - Defining and building the next generation of health record system integrations for the industry. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on building scalable back-end systems and platforms. - Deep experience integrating and scaling storage systems, cloud-native services, and related open source projects, including the Kubernetes ecosystem, AWS, and PostgreSQL. - Knowledge of common DevOps tools and practices. - Firm grasp of quality and security engineering principles. - A vision for what great software and great engineering looks like. - Excellent systems-level thinking. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Requirements - Keep up with our exponentially growing customer base and associated dataset, scaling our data processing and storage layer from terabytes to petabytes and beyond. - Build and maintain bidirectional, real-time integrations with dozens of EHRs, scaling to hundreds or thousands of integrations. - Drive improvements to our core systems to unlock 100x growth in the number of practices, patients, and developers relying on our platform. - Own cross-functional projects end to end, from technical design and decomposition to a successful launch and rollout. - Partner with engineering leaders and product managers to generate, prioritize, and deliver on ambitious engineering goals.
