• Lead and grow an engineering team delivering mission-critical software to dental practices and their patients • Directly oversee a team of various levels of engineers (onshore and nearshore) and influence engineering practices, technical execution, and outcomes across the organization • Drive clarity, accountability, and alignment through effective communication of goals, priorities, and status to team members and stakeholders • Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career development to attract and retain top engineering talent • Establish and ensure adherence to standards for software engineering, analysis, QA, and project delivery • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement • Partner with Product and UX to deliver customer-centric solutions that align with strategic initiatives • Monitor and manage project scope, forecasts, risks, and budgets • Promote mature DevOps practices, continuous integration/deployment, and test-driven development
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
- 7+ years of progressive software development experience with our tech stack, with 1+ years in people management
- Proven success leading distributed or hybrid engineering teams at scale
- Excellent knowledge of SDLC, including Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
- Ability to lead through influence, resolve conflict, and build consensus across functions
- Clear, empathetic communicator who thrives in collaborative environments
