• Design, build, and evolve infrastructure supporting production services across network and systems domains, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability • Drive improvements to reliability, redundancy, and overall service delivery across infrastructure environments • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex production issues, troubleshooting and resolving critical incidents impacting service availability • Lead by example through hands-on technical contribution and ownership of challenging infrastructure problems • Oversee and optimize on-premises network infrastructure, including switching, routing, firewalls, and load balancing, while ensuring security and resilience • Architect and manage Linux systems, virtualization platforms, and server infrastructure to support stable, high-performing environments • Lead the development and adoption of automation across network and systems environments, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to standardize operations • Reduce manual processes and improve consistency across deployments and operational workflows • Partner with Engineering, Development, QA, and Application teams to support services and align infrastructure with business and application requirements • Act as a technical bridge to drive successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives • Establish and enforce infrastructure best practices and standards while mentoring team members and elevating overall technical capability • Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure design, operations, and documentation • Evaluate, design, and implement AI-assisted tooling to improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency • Foster the development, implementation, and progression of AI-based tools and software to streamline infrastructural tasks and expedite completion of projects and initiatives.
Job Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, including deep expertise in network engineering (routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing) and systems engineering (Linux, virtualization, server hardware), along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience may be considered)
- Proven experience supporting production environments in on-premises datacenters, with a strong focus on reliability and operational stability
- Strong hands-on expertise in Linux administration and performance optimization across complex environments
- Solid understanding of core networking protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and TCP/IP, is essential
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues across the full infrastructure stack, from hardware through network and systems layers
- Experience implementing automation and Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar is required
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or equivalent) to support automation and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with network and systems automation frameworks and modern infrastructure practices
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, with a track record of owning and delivering large-scale infrastructure initiatives in fast-paced environments
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with hybrid or cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) would be valuable
- Exposure to monitoring, observability, and capacity planning tools and practices is a plus
- Background in high availability, disaster recovery, and failover design is considered an advantage
