Information Security Analyst

Role Description - Perform routine analysis of information security monitoring reports. - Research and document evidence for follow up of anomalies. - Monitor and respond to real time security alerts from various security tools and escalate as necessary those events which may be indicative of a security incident. - Document and report findings, actions taken, and lessons learned. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding security incidents and mitigation efforts. - Document procedures and processes associated with security program activities. - Report on metrics used to measure compliance with information security standards. - Ensure proper operation of information and physical security monitoring technologies. - Collaborate with other security team members and IT staff to address security incidents. - A team-oriented individual who works well with others and places a premium on the group’s success. - A self-starter with initiative and drive for continuous improvement. - Monitor threat intelligence and vulnerability disclosure sources to evaluate relevancy and risk to the Bank’s environment. - Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications - Minimum of Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Professional certifications are a plus. - Minimum 3 years of technical education or experience with a focus on Information Security or Information Technology preferred. - Strong technical and problem solving skills and attention to detail required. - A basic understanding of networks and operating system security fundamentals is required. - Knowledge of key security controls including firewalls, antimalware, and vulnerability management is strongly preferred. - Experience with SIEM systems is a plus. - The location of this position will be either Bangor/Hampden ME or Manchester NH, with remote options depending on experience.
