Role Description The Scrum Master will run, administer, and organize all scrum activities on multiple Product Component teams in order to deliver high quality solutions that meet defined requirements on time and within budget. The Scrum Master will work closely with all members of the Product Development Teams, Product Management Leadership, Senior IT Leadership, and other members of the Project Management Team to coordinate resources, track and report progress, and implement Initiatives, Epics, and Stories as prioritized by the Product team. Job Responsibilities - Embraces Agile, promotes the advancement of Agile principles and practices within the organization. - Guides and coaches the Scrum Teams on using Agile to deliver high quality products. - Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching techniques. - Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to applicable Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines. - Facilitates and supports all Scrum Ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and other team meetings. - Identify, monitor, facilitate, and track the resolution of impediments and risks impacting deliverables. Ensure the timely identification and appropriate resolution of deviations from established plans. - Fosters open communication within the team, product owner, and other stakeholders. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Project Management or related field or equivalent work experience. - 3+ years project management experience on an Agile Team. - 1+ years’ experience working in an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices. - Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Good interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships. - Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
