Role Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to join a fast-paced and growing business. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely month-end reporting, maintaining compliance with corporate standards and processes, and supporting the wider Finance function as required. Key Responsibilities - Manage the full accounting function from daily ledger activities through to annual statutory filings - Review payroll processes and payroll-related statutory submissions - Take ownership of the month-end close cycle, ensuring timely reconciliations, reporting, and analysis across all ledgers - Oversee project accounting and financial control processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 and company policies - Ensure external reporting compliance in accordance with IFRS standards - Maintain accurate tax records and manage VAT, income tax, and corporation tax filings, liaising with external advisors where required - Continuously review and improve financial processes and controls, introducing automation where possible - Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and analysis - Drive debtor management, working capital optimisation, and cash flow management - Support the broader Finance team during peak periods and holiday coverage as required Qualifications - BCom Accounting degree - SAICA articles completed or SAIPA qualification/designation Requirements - Strong hands-on accounting experience across multiple finance functions - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential - Experience with Oracle NetSuite and Xero will be advantageous - Strong understanding of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15 - Proven experience in process improvement and automation initiatives - Experience with project accounting and financial controls preferred Competencies - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - High attention to detail and strong time management ability - Self-driven, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure in a demanding environment - Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

Role Description The Scrum Master is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for guiding and coaching teams in the use of Scrum / Agile practices. The primary responsibility of this role is to boost the effectiveness of teams by managing key projects, championing cross team alignment, and delivering success while operationalizing underlying processes to make development teams function effectively. - Fosters a self-organizing and empowered environment that enables teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. - Facilitates and leads Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. - Ensures that teams adhere to the Scrum framework, follows agile best practices, and utilizes appropriate tools and metrics to track progress, identifies bottlenecks, and drives continuous improvement. - Fosters effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders. - Acts as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of the project goals, priorities, and timelines. - Proactively addresses any conflicts or challenges that may hinder team performance and delivery. - Collaboratively identifies and synchronizes project interdependencies across multiple teams, facilitating effective resource allocation across the programs. - Drives the continuous improvement of agile processes, methodologies, and tools across the organization, identifying and implementing process enhancements to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality of deliverables. - Encourages innovation to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. - Ensures the program benefits remain viable throughout the program, communicating status and date changes and actively managing dependencies. - Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and manages expectations regarding project scope, timelines, and deliverables. - Collaborates closely with product owners to prioritize backlog items and ensures alignment with business goals. - Provides regular project status updates and communicates any risks or impediments that may impact project success. Requirements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Project Management or related field. - Relevant certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master preferred. - Other related certifications and/or training (for example - SAFe DeVos, Implementing SAFe, etc.). - Seasoned Scrum Master experience in an ICT environment, managing software projects and working with software development teams. - Seasoned experience in Scrum Management. - Seasoned experience of Agile concepts and principles. - Seasoned experience as a coach and mentor in agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). - Seasoned experience with contemporary software development methodologies. - Seasoned experience with widely successful Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
