Contract Manager
Switzerland Global Enterprise
• Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by demonstrating contracting and negotiating expertise related to T&Cs • Actively participate in ITO process simplification and related lean efforts • Provide the support to the sales and commercial teams during the ITO phase of a transaction for proposal and contract document preparation, mark-up and management • T&Cs risk checklist interpretation and evaluations • commercial risk process questions • customer negotiations • reviewing and finalizing contract and purchase order documents • Provide guidance and recommendations regarding contractual and commercial implications of proposed and final commercial T&Cs strategies and decisions • Coordinate, manage, and maintain a library of master and framework agreement records in Salesforce.com (NEX) • Disseminate relevant contract documents and templates within the organization as needed • Work closely with regional Legal team members to support deal strategy development, T&Cs negotiations with customers • Engage, solicit, and effectively incorporate inputs from required functional subject matter experts into proposal, contract, and purchase order documents • Coach, mentor, and train both new and experienced commercial and sales manager on T&Cs and other relevant contracting related business topics
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, business, law, technical (or equivalent) from an accredited college
- Minimum 5 years of contract analysis, Sales/Commercial Operations terms and conditions experience, and/or contract execution experience
- Comprehensive understanding of both simple and complex commercial contracts
- The ability to formulate persuasive and effective arguments, both verbally and in writing, that advance GE’s interests and needs during negotiations with customers
- Ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of both Buyer and GE’s organization
- Ability to analyze problems and make recommendations and decisions responsive to both changing business priorities and transactional deadlines
- Ability to occasionally travel to customer sites within the Americas region when needed to support negotiations
- Experience in power generation or related industrial or manufacturing industry
- Strong writing and reading comprehension skills
- Contracting experience with United States FARS, DFARS, CFRs, and Export/Import law
- Commercial contracting experience in Canada and/or Latin America
- Legal or paralegal training
- Multi language (English/others)
- Power generation equipment technical expertise and familiarity with the type of parts, repairs, and site services provided by Steam Power to its customers
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada
