• Preparation of TX proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment • Develop proposals; may negotiate with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing • May include compiling and submitting required tender documentation • Requires specialized knowledge across product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups • Requires strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy for their broad sales territory, including control of resources • Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers • Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers • Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations • Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity • Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics • May guide others to consider a different point of view

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business Management, Finance or Law from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Sales, Services Operations, Commercial Operations, and/or Engineering in the Power Generation industry in NAM
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
  • 8+ years of Commercial experience with Services and Upgrades solutions in the Power Generation and/or Energy Industry
  • Experience within Transactional Services businesses
  • Experience managing large complex deals with multi-functional interactions
  • Excellent technical and commercial writing and reading comprehension skills
  • Background in Aero derivative products and solutions
  • Comprehensive understanding of GE products, processes, and organizational structure
  • Knowledgeable of power generation industry trends and competition
  • Strong network of relationships with key customers in the region
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and positive attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in English
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills with proven ability to work through difficult situations
  • Innovative, open-minded and organized
  • Six Sigma / LEAN or equivalent Quality training
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses
