Role Description As a Sales Representative on our Companion Animal team, you will be a key contributor to our mission to enrich the lives of pets and the people who love them. In this role, you will own a significant territory and be responsible for advancing the health of animals by building strong relationships with veterinary professionals and ensuring they have access to our innovative portfolio of products. You will serve as a trusted partner and a vital link to the veterinary community, directly impacting animal wellness and supporting Elanco's growth in the Florida Space Coast market. This is an opportunity to leverage your sales expertise and passion for animal health to make a tangible difference. Your Responsibilities - Own the development and execution of a strategic territory business plan to achieve sales goals and exceed growth targets, while operating within an assigned expense budget. - Achieve product placement and execute sales strategies with targeted accounts, including key corporate hospitals, through impactful face-to-face engagement with veterinary influencers. - Provide key guidance and direction to distributor representatives in your geography, while also acting as the primary liaison with local veterinary associations to coordinate VMA meeting efforts. - Spearhead successful product launches within the territory by planning and executing impactful launch meetings in partnership with veterinary services. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent level of experience. - Minimum of 4 years of experience in companion animal veterinary pharmaceutical sales or a similar fast-paced selling environment, or previous Elanco intern. - Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic business plan, coupled with a strong motivation to achieve and exceed sales goals. - Must have a Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record. - Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Requirements - Proven ability to influence without authority, coupled with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to motivate diverse audiences. - Strong strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills with a history of successfully managing territory business plans and making sound judgments in ambiguous situations. - In-depth knowledge of the companion animal market, including Elanco and competitive products. - Experience mentoring peers or leading district-level initiatives. - Advanced degree (e.g., MBA).
