Role Description Our client is an innovative, rapidly expanding healthcare AI startup seeking physicians to join a mission-focused, technology-driven care model designed to modernize adult medicine delivery through telehealth. This national, tech-enabled medical group provides comprehensive adult care through virtual platforms, combining evidence-based medicine with thoughtfully integrated technology. As an early-stage startup, the team operates in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where physicians have the opportunity to directly influence clinical workflows, operational processes, and the future direction of care delivery. Care Philosophy - Patient-First Access: Delivering convenient, evidence-based care that meets patients where they are. - Comprehensive Adult Medicine: Providing urgent care, acute care, and longitudinal primary care supported by an in-house subspecialty network. - Purposeful Technology: Utilizing AI-enabled tools to improve documentation, intake, and care coordination so physicians can focus on patient care and clinical decision-making. - Accessible Healthcare: Accepting insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, as well as self-pay patients, with operational support for scheduling, referrals, diagnostics, and follow-up care. Position Responsibilities - Provide high-quality adult primary care through video visits and asynchronous telemedicine platforms (approximately 36 clinical hours weekly). - Care for a diverse patient population, including Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. - Collaborate closely with an internal network of subspecialists and care teams. - Leverage AI-supported workflows, including scribe technology, automated routing, and integrated documentation systems. - Contribute to the development of clinical protocols, quality initiatives, and operational best practices as an early member of the organization. Practice Environment - Technology Platforms: Athena EMR, Zoom, Zendesk, Slack, and Nabla AI scribe. - Visit Structure: 20-minute virtual visits plus asynchronous patient messaging and triage. - Scheduling Flexibility: 4–6 hour shifts, primarily Monday through Friday, with future expansion into evenings and weekends. - Scope of Practice: Adult medicine only. Qualifications - 5–10 years of experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. - Minimum of 1 year of telehealth experience required. - Multi-state licensure covering approximately 40% of the U.S. population, including at least two of the following states: California, Texas, Florida, or New York. - U.S.-trained MD or DO required. - Comfortable using modern healthcare technology platforms and interested in AI-enhanced clinical workflows. - Strong communication skills across both video-based and written patient interactions. Role Description E&M Coding Auditor/Educator performs comprehensive audits to determine integrity of coding/billing for physician & clinical fees, detection/correction of documentation, coding/billing errors and/or medical necessity of services billed.
