Job Description

Project Delivery Manager

Prime Robotics

Role Description The Project Delivery Manager serves as the primary delivery owner for Prime Robotics automation projects. You will bridge the gap between Sales and Delivery, manage cross-functional internal and customer-facing workstreams, and ensure the successful commissioning of robotic systems, robotic arms, and integrated software (WMS/ERP/PES) within scope, on time, and on budget. You will be equally comfortable on a warehouse floor validating site readiness as you are in a boardroom presenting milestone updates to C-suite stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Pre-Sales Engagement - Partner with the Prime Sales team to understand customer warehouse layouts, throughput requirements, integration complexity (WMS, ERP, MES), and geographic deployment constraints. - Define implementation strategies for AMR, AS/RS, and software deployments—factoring in site infrastructure, racking configurations, and network readiness. - Develop high-level project timelines and resource estimates to support proposals and SOW development. - Collaborate with Solutions Engineering and Finance to validate effort estimates, hardware lead times, and service delivery costs. - Project Planning & Transition - Lead the Sales-to-Delivery handover process, ensuring all contractual commitments, scope boundaries, and customer expectations are clearly documented and understood. - Analyze contracts to define scope, key deliverables, acceptance criteria, and major milestones aligned to Prime's delivery methodology. - Establish the project charter, RACI, communication protocols, and cadenced governance structure (weekly status calls, steering committees, etc.). - Conduct gap analysis with customer and Prime cross-functional teams (Hardware Engineering, Software, Supply Chain, Field Services) to surface risks early. - Define measurable success criteria, go-live KPIs, throughput targets, system uptime SLAs, and establish baselines for performance tracking. - Ensure adherence to Prime's standard project processes, SOPs, and governance frameworks throughout all phases. - Project Delivery & Hardware Coordination - Monitor progress against timelines, budget, and milestone commitments; proactively surface risks and drive resolution before they impact go-live. - Maintain clear, consistent communication across all stakeholders—customer leadership, Prime HQ (Denver), field teams, and third-party integrators. - Own the customer readiness checklist: floor markings, charging station placement, Wi-Fi infrastructure, dock door configurations, and safety zone layouts. - Coordinate with Prime's Supply Chain team on AMR, shuttle, and robotic arm lead times to ensure hardware arrives per installation sequencing plans. - Track software development milestones for PES (Prime Execution System), WMS integration, and custom API development; flag delays and drive resolution. - Log, manage, and escalate all issues and bugs through JIRA with structured triage and prioritization processes. - Project Execution & Go-Live - Manage cross-functional resource allocation; Prime field engineers, software deployment specialists, and customer operations leads, and coordinate travel and scheduling logistics. - Validate final site readiness before robot deployment, ensuring all infrastructure, safety, and software prerequisites are met. - Oversee robot commissioning, software deployment, and end-to-end system testing across AMR fleets, AS/RS, pick stations, and PES integrations. - Lead integration testing across customer WMS/ERP environments, Prime HQ software teams, and regional field operations. - Stand up and facilitate war rooms during critical go-live windows to accelerate issue resolution. - Support UAT planning and execution; monitor ramp-up KPIs (picks per hour, system uptime, error rates) against contracted targets. - Drive project closure: final ticket resolution, handover documentation, customer signoffs, and transition to Prime's Client Services team. - Maintain all project documentation on Confluence; charters, risk registers, test reports, handover packages, and lessons learned. Qualifications - 12+ years of progressive experience in Project/Program Management, with demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-stakeholder deployments. - 7+ years of hands-on experience in warehouse operations, distribution center commissioning, or end-to-end automation deployment (AMRs, AS/RS, conveyors, robotics, or similar). - Proven track record managing hardware + software integration projects in industries such as warehousing, e-commerce fulfillment, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or cold chain. - Direct experience commissioning goods-to-person systems, automated storage & retrieval, or robotic picking solutions is highly desirable. - Strategic thinker with strong organizational agility; able to manage multiple concurrent projects at different phases. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable making data-driven decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. - Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams without direct authority. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to C-suite and frontline operations teams alike. - Proficiency with JIRA (issue tracking), Confluence (documentation), and standard project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent). - Comfortable operating in a startup-scale environment where processes are evolving and initiative is rewarded. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site visits, commissioning, and customer engagement (up to 40%). Requirements - Please note that this role will be based remote with 40% travel expected. Benefits - Employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to support your health and wellbeing. - Dedicated vacation and sick leave that allows you to recharge and take care of yourself when needed. - Invaluable hands-on experience with cutting-edge robotics technology that keeps your skills at the industry forefront. - A collaborative culture where innovation thrives and your work has a real impact. - The excitement of contributing to transformative technology in a fast-growing industry.
