Corporate Governance Paralegal
Axiom
• Assist client's legal team in drafting and reviewing corporate governance documents, including board resolutions, bylaws, policies, and charters • Conduct research and analyze legal and regulatory requirements related to corporate governance and compliance • Maintain and update corporate records, including board and committee minutes, shareholder records, and other governance-related documents • Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate documents including annual reports, proxy statements, and SEC filings
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of corporate governance experience gained working as a paralegal in a large corporate in-house environment
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and best practices and familiarity with corporate filings, SEC regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficient in legal research tools, databases, and related software
- Open to working in an engagement-based role, seconded to clients on a temporary basis
- Ability to work remotely, located in the Greater Toronto Area
