Job Description

Vice President, Global Industry Engagement

AVIXA

• Oversees all aspects of industry engagement, membership and certification delivery through North America, Latin America, EMEA and APAC • Represents AVIXA and the AV Industry at events and tradeshows • Develop and execute global strategic plan for industry engagement in key regions • Work closely with global Show Directors to enhance strategies and event value • P&L responsibility together with forecasting and monthly and quarterly reports • Assess the competitive landscape and implement changes as needed • Collaborate with Global Business Development director to support research of new technology players • Oversee optimization of Committees and Council programmes • Drive engagement and value in AVIXA Membership programmes • Serve on Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement major business and growth strategies • Identify new Industry partnerships for programmes, content, education and tradeshows

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of proven international leadership/sales/marketing/media executive experience
  • Deep experience across the Pro AV Industry/IT/Technology including supply side, distribution channel and vertical segment
  • Technology/audiovisual experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and market share
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strategic mindset with ability to make difficult decisions
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive, C-level and Board
