• The Controls Engineer will be responsible for implementing advanced Smart Building control solutions for EMC clients and potential clients. • This position will play a key role in executing projects and programs which deliver significant Return on Investment (ROI) opportunities for customers. • The person will be one of the key technical controls engineers and will work closely with field teams, customers, and multiple departments at EMC to help get projects installed in the field. • This role will include, but is not limited to, integrating disparate building control systems, leveraging strong HVAC/lighting and building automation system knowledge to develop local stations that unlock ROI centered solutions for national accounts, and developing expertise in the existing business processes and tools at EMC.

Role Description As an Engineering Intern, you will be working with our engineering and consulting team to assist in evaluating building MEP systems and the big data that these operational systems produce. We have developed a training course that will put energy, CFD, and analytical software in your hands, to train and use in that we may better understand their performance. The data from these models can then be used to inform both energy and water optimization opportunities and drive real world change. We are looking for self-motivated, problem-solving, and passionate engineers to join our team and help us do just that! Duties and Responsibilities - Learn how to use industry-specific hardware and software tools, as well as develop your own tools and outputs - Carrying out energy modeling and building analyses - Learn the basics of data center design and operation - Gain an understanding of the construction process - Performing energy and water efficiency calculations - Helping automate the data processing pipelines - Supporting sustainability projects and initiatives - Going on-site to data centers as opportunities exist Qualifications - Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil). • Design, implement, and maintain telephony infrastructure, including cloud-based and hybrid voice systems. • Lead the integration of telephony platforms (NICE CXone, RingCentral, Genesys, etc.) with internal tools, CRMs, and workflow systems. • Optimize call flows, IVRs, routing logic, and contact center performance metrics. • Collaborate with IT, support, and engineering teams to ensure alignment between voice systems and business processes. • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for troubleshooting and issue resolution across telephony platforms. • Manage vendor relationships and monitor service performance, SLAs, and escalations. • Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security standards. • Create and maintain documentation on infrastructure, integrations, and procedures.

• Administer and support enterprise storage platforms (primarily Pure Storage or equivalent) • Manage Storage Area Network (SAN) environments utilizing Cisco Nexus switches or similar technologies • Support server virtualization platforms including VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V • Perform and support P2V and V2V migrations • Maintain Dell physical server hardware and related infrastructure components • Administer backup and recovery solutions (primarily Veeam or equivalent) • Support data replication and high-availability strategies • Participate in disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution • Perform system and data restorations as required • Plan and execute infrastructure-level data migrations • Support system upgrades, consolidations, and platform transitions • Ensure minimal operational disruption during migration activities • Support infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis • Proactively identify capacity, performance, and stability risks • Contribute to reliability and operational improvement initiatives • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and stakeholders • Provide infrastructure support for on-premises hosting environments
