Business Development Manager – Fleet
Pod Point
• Identify and Secure New Partners - you’ll proactively target and acquire new fleets, fleet management companies, and lease company partners to expand Pod’s footprint in corporate EV charging • Manage the Full Sales Cycle - you’ll take ownership from prospecting, proposal, negotiation, and contracting, through to seamless partner onboarding and account activation • Deliver Commercial Results - you’ll achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets, accountable for both financial performance and the quality of new partnerships • Build Strategic Relationships - you’ll develop and nurture strong partnerships across all levels within fleet and lease organisations, from operational teams to senior decision-makers • Develop Go-To Market Plans - you’ll collaborate with fleet partners to create tailored strategies that drive home charger adoption, EV referrals, and subscription uptake within their business operations • Leverage Data and Insight - you’ll provide regular pipeline updates, accurate forecasting, and market feedback to inform strategy, improve performance, and optimise partner outcomes • Collaborate Cross-Functionally - you’ll work with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure partner onboarding is seamless and that joint initiatives deliver measurable results • Deliver Training and Enablement - you’ll support fleet partner teams with coaching and guidance on Pod’s solutions, ensuring confidence in promoting EV charging internally • Monitor Market and Competitor Activity - you’ll stay ahead of fleet and lease market trends to ensure Pod’s offerings remain differentiated and competitive • Champion our values - you’ll model Trust, Edge, and Care in all partner interactions, ensuring Pod is recognised as a credible and strategic partner.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience working within or with fleets, fleet management companies, or lease providers
- Proven success in full-cycle sales delivery with annual targets of £2m+
- Track record of exceeding revenue and new business growth targets
- Familiarity with CRM and sales analytics tools (ideally HubSpot)
- Experienced in structuring and negotiating partnership agreements
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based, high-autonomy sales role
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, able to define and execute sales plans while adapting to shifts in the market
- Superior sales, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management
- Passionate about sustainability, EV adoption, and the future of mobility.
