Role Description The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This function supports effective performance management and ensures optimal organizational alignment. The HRBP serves as a trusted consultant to management on business and People and Culture related issues. This role provides HR consultation and support and is responsible for adding significant value to the business through a broad spectrum of HR knowledge and a high level of functional expertise and business acumen. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our NORAM and Global teams, working in close partnership with regional HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to ensure consistent and effective People & Culture practices across regions. The HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the company. Additionally, this role requires dealings with stakeholders globally, ensuring that HR strategies and initiatives are aligned across different regions and cultures. As an HR Business Partner, you will: - Support NORAM and Global leaders and their teams and partner closely with regional HRBPs to maintain consistency of HR strategies, processes, and best practices. - Guide implementation of Talent Management initiatives, including organizational development, succession planning, performance management, employee Engagement/Satisfaction, recognition, employee relations and data analysis. - Serve as a member of the management team of the designated Business Groups. - Support discussions and transfer best practices from different functions in the organization. - Guide leadership in the people management area and act as the facilitator for the management team. - Partner with and coach the business leadership team to facilitate organizational and cultural change. Lead change management projects. - Educate the business on People and Culture trends that affect the business. - Develop and implement Employee Relations strategies to enhance workforce performance and build strategic capabilities; mitigate risk to the organization; ensure the direct relationship between management and employees. Qualifications - Demonstrated HRBP expertise, including partnering with leaders in global settings and navigating international HR practices. - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. - Strong background in foundational HR knowledge and strategic HR matters. - Strong communication skills, trust/credibility and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders. - Analytical skills, proven ability to diagnose challenges and identify and drive appropriate solutions. - Demonstrated proficiency in multiple HR functional areas, including employee relations, organizational development, leadership development. - Ability to travel for business (if applicable). - HR Certification such as HRCI (US) is a plus. The role oversees the design, evaluation, and delivery of benefits, and advises leadership on the most competitive, cost-effective options for RTSL's global workforce. As the owner of the organization's HRIS, this position ensures data integrity, process alignment, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and international regulations. The position also serves as the primary liaison to employees for all benefits and leave matters. This is a full-time remote position open to candidates based in the United States. Core Responsibilities Benefit Management - Manage RTSL's global benefits strategy by assessing competitiveness and equity across all locations and using benchmarking, utilization trends, and an understanding of RTSL's organizational culture and budget to guide recommendations. - Own the full project lifecycle of benefit plan design and management, including planning, vendor selection, negotiation, contracting, communication strategy, implementation, and annual renewals. - Oversee benefits administration with staff and partners, ensuring all enrollment processes, billing, data flows, and compliance activities function reliably across regions. Maintain updated benefit summaries and plans for all RTSL employee locations, including employer-of-record contracts, global handbooks, and benefit plan documents. - Steward strong partnerships with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of plans and to drive continuous improvement in service, efficiency, and employee support. - Manage employer-sponsored retirement plan contributions and plan reconciliation. Coordinate and serve as a member of the 403(b) plan committee. Leave Management - Review and determine all leave types, eligibility criteria, entitlements, and limitations for each unique employee leave circumstance. - Advise managers and employees on leave matters, modeling empathy and technical expertise. - Liaise with leave-processing vendors for approval and payment of STD/LTD insurance and state-mandated PFL/disability programs, and utilize the HRIS to configure and track leave requests in accordance with local statutory laws globally. HRIS Administration - Serve as strategic owner and administrator of the HRIS, overseeing system configuration, data architecture, and permission structures to ensure accuracy and seamless employee and administrator experience. - Design, implement, and maintain SOPs and workflows to ensure data integrity across all HR processes while anticipating downstream impacts on Payroll, IT, Finance, and other stakeholders. - Liaise with the Payroll Officer to ensure end-to-end alignment of data transfers, proactively identifying and mitigating risks that could affect pay, benefits, or compliance.
