Role Description We are looking for a Senior Developer / Systems & ETL Engineer — a senior-level polyglot engineer capable of working across the full technology stack, from ETL and data engineering to modern application development and cloud-native delivery. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable information processing systems, combining strong data expertise with application and API development. You will work independently, drive complex initiatives, and act as a key technical point of contact for client engagements. • Maintain end-to-end system integrity across the SmartGate hardware-software stack: AXIS IP cameras, NVIDIA Jetson edge compute devices, Savant video pipeline, LTE modems, routing hardware, outdoor enclosures, and power systems; test new hardware generations, firmware versions, and software releases against the production stack before fleet-wide rollout • Build, configure, and validate complete hardware kits ahead of customer deployments; verify power budget compliance for solar-capable configurations; coordinate with installation contractors on setup expectations and post-install validation • Deploy and update SmartGate software across 30+ edge and cloud gates using the Ansible-based Fleet Management system; manage hardware inventory and prepare Jetson and camera kits for shipment to new sites • Remotely diagnose and resolve failures across the deployed fleet, including Savant pipeline lockups, camera connectivity issues, and networking misconfigurations; perform on-site visits when remote resolution is not achievable • Develop and maintain commissioning runbooks and validation procedures; collaborate with the Computer Vision team on hardware-side model validation and root cause analysis for missed or incorrect gate events • Test and benchmark which SmartGate pipeline workloads can run directly on AXIS camera hardware versus the Jetson; AXIS cameras include the ARTPEC-8 chip with an onboard AI inference engine (Larod) and support custom applications via the AXIS Camera Application Platform (ACAP).

Role Description The Startup Ecosystem Associate is the operational engine behind the Backblaze Flamethrower Startup Program. This is a high-ownership role for someone early in their career who wants to learn the full arc of ecosystem building — from running the day-to-day mechanics of a startup program to eventually sitting across the table from a Series A founder or a VC partner. You will work closely with and directly support the Director of Startup & Developer Relations, who is the external face of the program. That means a lot of your early work happens behind the scenes: - Keeping the program running cleanly - Processing applications thoughtfully - Managing credit workflows - Ensuring every founder has a good experience This is not a role for someone looking to attend conferences and collect business cards. • Provide hands-on development and support for Oracle EBS R12, including Finance modules such as GL, AP, FA, AR, CM, Revenue Recognition and others. • Orchestrate and communicate rollout of software and process improvements. Develop solutions that meet business requirements via analysis and design activities. • Gather and document project business requirements under direction of Finance team leads. • Manage and implement finance process improvement projects across multiple EBS modules as well as system upgrade projects including Oracle Technical Assistance Request (TAR) resolution. • Develop and execute test plans; Coordinate with end users and developers to perform unit, system, and regression testing. • Provide production support and implement enhancements for existing financial applications across Finance’s application portfolio as well as integrations between EBS and other systems such as Esker Invoice Delivery. • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, including ledger balancing, reconciliation, and FSG reporting. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues; liaise with Oracle Support and internal technical team as needed. • Partner with GRC function to establish, test and document key application controls and ensure SOX compliance. • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance and automate financial and accounting processes and work with Finance team leads to prioritize. • Work closely with business stakeholders to prioritize system improvement initiatives and play the key role of solution architect and project lead. • Communicate process of projects and initiatives and provide status updates to stakeholders across Finance and IT.
