• Account development: Identify, approach and build sustainable relationships with key clients in the transport and logistics sector across the DACH region • Sales strategy: Develop and implement tailored sales strategies, including market research, new client identification and bespoke sales presentations • Pipeline management: Build and maintain a strong upsell pipeline through active lead follow-up and by uncovering new opportunities within existing accounts; target: 15% growth with existing customers in 2026 • Product knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our SaaS solutions and communicate their value convincingly to prospects and existing customers • Presentations & demos: Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations, in person and online, that address customers' specific needs • Customer growth & expansion: Nurture long-term customer relationships, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and drive measurable account expansion • Negotiation & closing: Lead contract and pricing negotiations to win new business and expand existing partnerships, including implementing our new commercialization strategy • Revenue accountability: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and quotas • New business development: Proactively drive new business through outbound activities, discovery calls, networking events and leveraging your own network • Market intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and market changes to keep the sales strategy current and effective • CRM & reporting: Accurately and promptly document all sales activities, forecasts and customer interactions in the CRM and other reporting tools

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Sales or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in B2B sales, ideally with a focus on key accounts
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry is a definite plus
  • Enjoys active prospecting and building a pipeline from scratch
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and target-oriented
  • Experience building relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Confident user of CRM software and Microsoft Office
  • AI-minded approach: you actively use AI tools to work more efficiently—whether for research, outreach, preparation or pipeline management. You're curious about what's possible and don't wait to be told when to experiment
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of working time, occasionally at short notice
  • Fluent German in spoken and written form — mandatory

This role entails managing a portfolio of products, ensuring effective forecasting, strategic promotional planning, and driving business development within the Americas Residential segment. In addition, leading a subset of direct reports and collaborating internally with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Supply chain. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and results-driven professional who can build strong relationships with key stakeholders while developing and executing strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (50%) Sales Growth & Channel Expansion - Own and drive the total sales and profit performance of the Hardware subgroup within the Retail Channel. - Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic growth plans to increase sales, category share, and omnichannel presence. - Identify white space opportunities and lead cross-functional initiatives to expand the National Hardware and Private Label product portfolios both in-store and online. (20%) Leadership & Team Development - Lead and coach direct reports in fostering high performance and collaboration across regions. - Provide strategic direction to internal teams to support retailers initiatives and ensure seamless account management. (10%) P&L Management - Lead development of account-specific budgets, sales forecasts, and profitability plans in partnership with finance, marketing, and operations. - Monitor sales and margin performance, adjusting pricing, promotions, and strategy as needed to meet or exceed revenue and profit targets. - Make data-driven decisions to optimize assortment, reduce costs, and enhance ROI across all programs. (10%) Strategic Customer Management - Build and maintain senior-level relationships with Retail Merchants, Brand Advocates, and Supply Chain teams. - Serve as the primary point of contact, aligning National Hardware brand and innovation roadmap with retailer’s strategic initiatives. (5%) Retail Marketing & Execution - Lead the development and implementation of omnichannel promotional plans, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and seasonal initiatives. - Collaborate with marketing and customer’s retails services teams to drive in-store execution, brand visibility, and service levels that meet the retailer’s expectations. (5%) Forecasting & Demand Planning - Partner with internal forecasting and supply chain teams to deliver accurate demand planning and inventory management. - Identify and resolve potential supply challenges in collaboration with retailers and internal teams.
