Role Description This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings. GoDaddy is building a central developer platform that changes how thousands of engineers deploy their applications. It's a single pane of glass for application deployment: commoditized infrastructure, opinionated patterns, and expert runtime support so developers can focus on their product instead of AWS plumbing. The platform orchestrates across multiple AWS accounts, enforces compliance standards automatically through the platform itself, and serves as a foundation that other teams build managed services on top of. We have hundreds of applications on the platform already, but we've only just begun — database management and broader service coverage are on the horizon. This is a software development role covering the full range, from automating infrastructure to adding features to our UI and everything in between. We are a team of seven engineers supported by a dedicated SRE team of three, collaborating remotely across time zones from the US to India. What you'll get to do: - Architect and lead the evolution of the platform, shaping long‑term technical direction and system design - Own large, cross‑cutting platform initiatives end‑to‑end, from conception through delivery - Drive engineering excellence by improving resilience, scalability, and developer experience across internal platforms - Partner closely with internal customers and stakeholders to solve complex technical problems - Mentor engineers and influence technical standards, sharing best practices across the wider organisation Qualifications - 8+ years of experience building production‑grade systems using TypeScript and Node.js in a platform or full‑stack environment - Deep experience designing and owning architectures for large‑scale distributed systems on AWS - Expert‑level hands‑on experience with AWS CDK, making infrastructure and architectural decisions at scale - Proven ability to make and defend complex technical and architectural trade‑offs with long‑term impact - Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience, setting technical direction and raising the engineering bar across teams Requirements - Experience with React.js - Experience using Elasticsearch for observability, monitoring, or logging at scale - Strong understanding of observability patterns and tooling across distributed systems - Exposure to agentic or AI‑assisted coding approaches in real‑world engineering workflows - Experience building or evolving developer platforms or internal tooling Benefits - Paid time off - Retirement savings (e.g., 401k, pension schemes) - Bonus/incentive eligibility - Equity grants - Participation in our employee stock purchase plan - Competitive health benefits - Other family-friendly benefits including parental leave
