Role Description Maximize the sale of Corning Optical Communications (COC) products within the Northwest Territory (WA, OR, AK, ID) to grow the business and ensure success of the company. Develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on delivering network solutions that leverage Corning’s comprehensive capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Meet or exceed sales budgets for all telecommunications products assigned - Develop and execute written territory and/or account plans - Generate new business and maintain existing customer account base - Ensure a balanced mix of sales calls to end users, distributors, contractors, and consultants, as appropriate, and provide ongoing training with these customer segments - Diligent in documenting activities and reporting results (Salesforce.com) Qualifications - B.S. or B.A. degree desired; technical discipline preferred - 2+ years of sales, marketing, product management or engineering experience - Consultative Communication: Solution selling with the ability to concisely communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers - Organizational Agility: Builds relationships and works effectively within an organization - Industry product knowledge preferred Requirements - Valid driver’s license - Travel required up to 75% - Work independently & virtually from a home-based office located in the Northwest Territory in WA, OR, or ID.
