Systems Services and Support Consultant Location: Westlake, TX Type: Contract Category: Engineer Industry: Financial Services Description: Hybrid Onsite 5 days/week, alternating weeks in either Westlake, TX or Merrimack, NH Our client seeks a Systems Services & Support Consultant to coordinate and execute SSH key rotations for external vendors and clients within the Electronic Data Transmission ecosystem. The role will orchestrate schedules, dependencies, and communications across engineering, operations, vendors, and clients to deliver secure, compliant key rotations with minimal risk. The consultant will leverage knowledge of data transmission platforms across mainframe, distributed, and cloud environments, along with strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills. The position emphasizes clear documentation, readiness validation, and continuous improvement of key management processes. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2 #LI-JS1 Responsibilities: - Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end SSH key rotation activities for vendors and clients across EDT platforms. - Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, external vendors, and clients to align schedules, dependencies, and execution plans. - Track milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies and communicate status with timely escalation. - Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for key rotations and data transmission processes. - Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards, timelines, and control requirements. - Facilitate meetings, drive follow-ups, and ensure accountability across stakeholders. - Partner with engineering and operations teams to understand technical impacts and validate execution readiness. - Maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and communications for key management activities. - Identify opportunities to standardize, streamline, or automate SSH key management processes. Experience Requirements: - Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors, timelines, and priorities. - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage technical and non-technical partners. - Proven teamwork in a cross-functional enterprise environment. - Deep foundation in data transmission technologies. - Experience with file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTP/S, NDM, AS2, and API-based transfers. - Knowledge of SSH keys, authentication concepts, and secure data exchange principles. - Working knowledge of IBM mainframe environments, distributed architectures, and Cloud Service Provider services. - Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business-impact discussions and vice versa. - Experience with Linux and Windows, networking, scripting (shell/bash), databases (SQL Server), and CI/CD (Ansible/Jenkins). - Experience supporting or coordinating security-related initiatives in enterprise environments (preferred). - Background with EDT, batch processing, or large-scale data movement platforms (preferred). - Exposure to audit, risk, or compliance-driven initiatives related to data security and access controls (preferred). - Familiarity with automation, monitoring, or reporting tools for operational initiatives (preferred).
