Senior Manager – CASS & SMS
Frontier Airlines
• Advance the maturity of the SMS within Tech Ops through planning, direction, training, and oversight • Increase management’s decision-making effectiveness related to improving human performance by ensuring CASS’s tracking of Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) elements provides the appropriate data, context, performance metrics, trends, goals, and corrective actions, in a clear and concise format • Manage development and implementation of SMS in accordance with 14 CFR Part 5 and when appropriate, the guidance contained in Advisory Circular (AC) 120-92 as revised • Strategic and tactical planning for the development and implementation of the Tech Ops safety risk profile, to enhance management’s perspective of the operational landscape and aid in effective decision-making • Ensure regular convening of the Tech Ops Safety Action Group and Data Analysis Group, as required by the GMM • Maintain Technical Operational leadership’s awareness of hazards and risk within the operation • Administer SMS documentation standards that promote up-to-date, single source, system-centric records • Strengthen team members’ SMS process facilitation proficiency through training and supervision • Increase and maintain Tech Ops personnel’s System Assessment and Safety Risk Management proficiency levels • Ensure the accomplishment and quality of System Assessments and Safety Risk Assessments through training, process facilitation, documentation reviews/feedback, and Risk Control verifications of effectiveness • Manage the incorporation of Tech Ops Safety Assurance inputs into SMS (such as: VDRP’s, regulatory findings, negative performance trends…etc.)
Job Requirements
- Required five (5+) years of SMS experience
- Required – FAA Safety Management Experience
- Preferred five (5+) years aircraft maintenance and or engineering experience
- Preferred five (5+) years of project management experience
- Preferred – College degree in Aviation Management or Aviation Safety
- Required – Understanding of AC 120-79
- Required – Understanding of Operations Specifications D074 and D072
- Preferred – Six Sigma Greenbelt or above

Role Description Reporting to the Director, Philanthropy Coordination, the Manager, Philanthropy Coordination is a key cross-functional convener and strategist within the Philanthropy Division, working across UUSA. The role is critical to advancing organization-wide initiatives to drive UUSA’s aspirational goal to consistently reach $1 billion of impact annually. - Partner with the Director to prioritize, convene, facilitate, and project manage the implementation of integrated strategies across Individual Philanthropy, Institutional Philanthropy, and Philanthropy Insight. - Maximize fundraising outcomes, constituent engagement experiences, brand moments, and thought leadership opportunities that support UUSA’s operating and strategic plan. - Execute strategic priorities that align cross-divisionally and intersect with marketing, brand, thought leadership, advocacy, and program spheres. Position Responsibilities - Executing Strategic Initiatives (60%): - Brainstorm, prioritize, and execute intersectional strategies across Philanthropy, Marketing and Communications, Executive Office, Public Affairs, and Programs. - Lead cross-functional coordination to reduce silos across teams and advance shared priorities. - Identify, develop, and implement strategic priorities that advance UUSA’s operating and strategic plan. - Project manage select Philanthropy initiatives and thematic strategies to ensure timely deliverables and accountability. - Lead meetings and strategy sessions to drive consensus and alignment among key stakeholders. - Synthesize and develop processes within Philanthropy to create efficient and streamlined methods for collaboration. - Maximize impact by navigating streamlined information gathering and dissemination in support of philanthropy objectives. - Drive UUSA’s Leadership Team members’ participation in global convenings. - Support strategy development of cross-cutting initiatives or campaigns that advance donor engagement and fundraising opportunities. - Facilitation & Communication (40%): - Serve as the focal point for ad-hoc requests to leverage philanthropy assets for partners or prospects. - Lead the administration of the Philanthropy Division’s emergency activation protocols. - Lead information gathering and capturing of cross-sectoral opportunities across Philanthropy.
