Role Description We’re growing our frontend team and looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to own and scale the user experience of Hallow. You’ll lead high-impact features, shape frontend architecture, and deliver fast, polished, and intuitive experiences as we continue to grow. - Build Exceptional User Experiences: Design and develop high-quality, performant, and intuitive UI across our mobile and web apps. - Own Features End-to-End: Lead frontend initiatives from ideation through launch, ensuring a polished and reliable user experience. - Improve Performance & Quality: Optimize app performance, responsiveness, and consistency across devices. - Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver cohesive features. - Drive Frontend Architecture: Improve component structure, state management, and overall scalability of the frontend codebase. - Develop Design Systems & Tooling: Build reusable components and systems that increase consistency and development speed. - Leverage AI for Velocity: Use AI tools to accelerate development, debugging, and iteration while maintaining high quality. Qualifications - Passion: Excited and passionate about our mission. - Experience: 5+ years building frontend applications (React preferred); strong experience with modern frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization. - Ownership: Proven ability to lead frontend projects end-to-end and take responsibility for user experience outcomes. - Technical Judgment: Strong ability to make tradeoffs between speed, quality, and maintainability. - UX & Product Sense: Strong eye for detail and a deep care for building polished, intuitive user experiences. - Collaboration: Clear communicator who works well with design, product, and backend teams and elevates others through feedback and mentorship. - AI Fluency: Comfortable leveraging AI tools to increase development velocity while maintaining high standards for quality. - Grit & Craft: High attention to detail and a drive to build best-in-class product experiences. Requirements - Competitive market rates in terms of equity, cash, & benefits. - Compensation range: $130,000 - $170,000 USD per year. - Each full-time employee in the US also receives equity compensation, alongside a top-tier benefits package (e.g., unlimited PTO, insurance, remote-flexible work, fully paid parental leave, 401(k) match, and stipends for spiritual development, health & wellness, home-office, and learning). - All full-time employees are also eligible to be considered for a discretionary bonus at the end of each fiscal year.
