• The Procurement Specialist drives procurement activities across a high-value CAPEX materials and services portfolio for a power company. • This position is responsible for translating procurement strategy into tangible outputs, decisions, and executed contracts, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve cost, efficiency, and supplier performance. • This role combines ownership of procurement models, sourcing execution, supplier engagement, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective, and risk-managed procurement outcomes. • Own and drive end-to-end procurement activities including RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and award execution. • Manage procurement timelines and ensure alignment with project schedules, milestones, and delivery requirements. • Track and maintain procurement logs, award trackers, and supplier status updates including dashboard trackers and reporting frameworks. • Develop sourcing strategies balancing cost, schedule, quality, and risk. • Analyze supplier markets and identify competitive and pricing benchmarks. • Support commercial negotiations, including pricing, terms, and risk allocation. • Continuously identify cost savings and value optimization opportunities. • Own complex Excel-based procurement and pricing models ensuring accuracy. • Perform detailed analysis of bids, cost structures, and supplier proposals. • Maintain cost comparisons, cost models, and benchmarking analyses. • Generate procurement reports, summaries, and executive-ready materials. • Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers. • Facilitate cross-functional alignment with different business teams on specifications, scope, and timelines. • Support resolution of supplier issues, delivery risks, and commercial disputes. • Support review, and execution of contracts, purchase orders, and commercial agreements. • Identify and manage procurement risks, including supply chain, pricing, and contract exposure. • Identify gaps in current procurement processes and implement improvements to workflows, templates, and tools. • Standardize RFP formats, evaluation criteria, and supplier communication approaches.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or consulting with a procurement focus
  • Experience supporting high-value CAPEX procurement programs (in the billions)
  • Industry experience in power, energy or infrastructure procurement is preferred
  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within EPC, infrastructure, or capital project environments
  • Strong acumen and ability to evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate effectively
  • Proven ability to independently drive procurement processes from initiation through contract award
  • Advanced Excel proficiency with ability to build and enhance complex procurement and pricing models
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, execution-focused consulting environment
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Management consulting with sourcing or procurement focus is helpful

Position: Vice President, Real Estate, Facilities & Procurement Location: (Remote) Edmonton, Vancouver, GTA Classification: Full-Time, Immediate Hire The Vice President, Real Estate, Facilities & Procurement owns the strategic oversight, management, and optimization of all real property and related facilities owned, leased, and operated by AutoCanada. This role leads the development and execution of strategies for property portfolio management, construction and renovation, compliance, and cost optimization. This leader is also responsible for setting and executing the procurement strategy aligned with the business, financial and risk objectives.
