Job Requirements

  • 2+ years experience designing interactive digital products.
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience in UI/UX and/or data visualization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong grasp of typography, color, and layout principles.
  • Ability to work comfortably in Figma, including auto-layout and components.
  • Interest in Epoch AI’s work.

Role Description As a Sr Structural BIM Designer, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for designing, detailing, and drafting construction documents under the guidance of Structural Engineer/Project Managers. Projects will be located throughout the U.S. and will include: steel, concrete, pre-stressed concrete, timber, and masonry. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, MEP Engineers, Architects, and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of structural engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, building code requirements, and site adapt adjustments. Responsibilities - Use and develop skills in AutoCAD and Revit Structure to develop construction documents. - Report under the direction of Structural Project Engineer and Structural Project Manager. - Work in a collaborative environment and assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and construction document phases of a project. - Perform quality control of their own work prior to giving to Structural Project Engineer for final review. - Assist in maintaining task budgets. - Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role. Qualifications - Technical School, Assoc. in Civil/Architectural Engineering, BSCE/AE or equivalent experience. - Revit Certification a plus (Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Structural Design). - Minimum 5+ years of Revit drafting experience with proficiency in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, including preparing structural sheets (notes, details, schedules) and producing accurate 2D plan sections and details. - Revit (must have). - Develop and manage detailed 3D structural BIM models (beams, columns, walls, foundations, floors, slabs), including custom families, type modifications, and cross-discipline coordination using worksharing and shared models. - Produce comprehensive construction documentation—plans, sections, schedules, and fully annotated sheets with dimensions and tagging. - Ensure BIM standards compliance (LOD, naming conventions, templates) while exporting/linking models across formats (e.g., .dwg) and disciplines. - Perform model QA/QC, including geometry and data validation, clash detection/resolution, maintaining model health, and delivering accurate as-built documentation. - AutoCAD (helpful, but not mandatory). - MS Office, Bluebeam and other software related to discipline. Requirements - This role is paid on an hourly basis with a range of $33-$44 and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws. - The expected approximate annualized compensation range is $70,000–$90,000.
