• Conduct penetration tests against Azure and M365 environments • Simulate real‑world attacker techniques, including credential theft, token abuse, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and persistence within Azure and M365 environments • Validate security controls implemented across Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity, Defender for Endpoint, and Sentinel detection pipelines • Assess identity attack surfaces • Produce clear, professional penetration test reports • Work closely with Security Operations teams, Cloud engineering teams, and GRC teams • Stay current on emerging Azure attack techniques and contribute to internal penetration testing methodologies

• Contribute to system and component-level test architecture design, collaborating with engineers and architects to evaluate options and make sound technical decisions. • Own end-to-end technical execution of key quality initiatives, from design through delivery, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies. • Lead cross-team initiatives and influence platform-level decisions • Uphold high engineering standards by actively participating in code reviews and applying best practices in CI/CD, testing, observability, and DevOps. • Define performance benchmarks, SLOs, and acceptance thresholds in collaboration with engineering and product stakeholders; drive resolution of performance regressions through root cause analysis and actionable recommendations • Partner closely with Product, UX, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements. • Lead complex incident response and technical root cause analysis, including on-call participation • Mentor and support engineers, fostering strong engineering judgment, collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning. • Remain deeply hands-on, contributing high-quality, production-ready code to critical components and complex problem areas. • Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical health • Troubleshoot and resolve/investigate complex production issues and test failures, applying strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to root cause analysis. • Support alignment between product priorities and technical execution, contributing to predictable, high-quality delivery. • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.

• Understand Backblaze products and its software stack. • Own end to end testing across UI, API and serve as a trusted quality partner for product and development teams. • Advocate for testability across the software and collaborate with product owners for well defined acceptance criteria. • Define test strategy and write structured test plans for new features being developed. • Design and automate tests in python/javascript and contribute to current test harnesses. • Perform functional, integration and regression testing for Backblaze API and user flows. • Leverage AI to enhance these workflows and accelerate testing. • Interact with developers to clarify functionality and facilitate defect resolution by identifying, recording and verifying software issues. • Define and implement QA process improvements.

• Create and maintain E2E automated tests with Playwright (in TypeScript) • Perform exploratory and manual testing for new features and complex workflows • Cover UI/API/business logic scenarios • Work closely with developers and analysts to identify edge cases and improve test coverage • Contribute to improving our QA processes, tools, and reporting
