Role Description As an Associate, Fund Accountant, you will: - Exhibit the ability to work in a high energy environment supporting multiple clients simultaneously. - Deliver exceptional client service through proactive communication with responsiveness, professionalism, and tact. - Demonstrate considerable understanding of key operational functions which may include, but are not limited to: - High-level knowledge of securities including equities, ETFs, swaps, options, fixed income, futures, foreign exchange – crypto a plus. - Daily trade confirmation/settlement. - Fails management. - Daily P&L reconciliation and reporting. - Corporate action and proxy voting processing. - Cash/position reconciliation. - Broker/counter-party onboarding. - Security set-up and data integrity maintenance. - Actively participate in daily, weekly, monthly, or as-needed virtual calls with U.S./U.K. Cartesian offices to support clients during their local business hours. - Be one of the key points of contact for all operational queries and interact closely with clients/prime brokers/administrators and internally across the Business, Middle Office, and Operations. - Learn and adhere to the company’s risk parameters, policies, and procedures. - Assist team members with the resolution of complex issues/problems. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in the alternative Investment Management industry (Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Cryptocurrency) at a fund administrator or internal accounting department at an Alternative Investment fund with a deep understanding of domain knowledge and proven ability to manage teams. - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent certification in the Philippines. - CPA, equivalent accounting certification in the Philippines. - Passionate about working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment. - Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and investment operations processes. - Hard-working, self-starter, dedicated, punctual, and personable. - Excellent organizational skills. - Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. - Strong accounting and analytical skills. - Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, and Xero as well as knowledge and understanding of well-known Portfolio Management Systems (PMS). - In-depth understanding of investment management and alternative products. - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to solve problems quickly and competently. - Ability to handle and protect highly confidential financial and personal information reliably and with discretion.
