Role Description We are seeking a hands-on and process-driven Accounts Payable Manager to lead and stabilize our AP operations. This role will be critical in improving existing workflows, clearing backlogs, and supporting a potential transition to an offshore AP structure. You will work closely with finance leadership to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across all AP processes. Key Responsibilities - Own end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, payment processing, and vendor management. - Stabilize and streamline current AP processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls. - Manage and reduce any existing backlog while implementing sustainable process improvements. - Develop, refine, and maintain clear SOPs and process documentation (including Loom/video-based guides where applicable). - Support knowledge transfer and onboarding for offshore or distributed AP teams. - Partner closely with the Controller and Finance team to support month-end close and reporting requirements. - Identify and implement opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and system enhancements. What Success Looks Like - AP processes are stabilized, documented, and running efficiently. - Backlogs are cleared and workflows are optimized. - Offshore or distributed teams are successfully onboarded and productive. - Improved visibility, accuracy, and timeliness across AP operations. Qualifications - Proven experience in Accounts Payable leadership or management roles. - Background in consumer, retail, or eCommerce industries preferred. - Strong experience working with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite or similar platforms). - Demonstrated ability to step into complex or disorganized environments and quickly drive structure and improvements. - Experience supporting process transitions, offshoring, or scaling finance operations is a plus. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
