Role Description Reporting to the Senior Director Engineering, you will lead technical solutions across the Engineering organization while providing strategic and people leadership to project management and engineering teams responsible for the development and execution of multi‑discipline capital programs from concept through initial production. You will ensure alignment to business platform strategies while driving safety, cost, schedule, and performance excellence across the portfolio. - Lead technical solutions within the Engineering organization and provide leadership to project management teams responsible for project safety, scope, cost, spending forecast, and schedule across multi‑discipline capital programs. - Provide direct leadership to Project Leaders, Engineering Project Managers, and Engineers, with dual or dotted‑line leadership of Plant Engineering Managers and contract resources. - Foster an inclusive environment that attracts, develops, and retains top engineering and project management talent. - Direct project management, engineering, construction management, and cost control resources to support business platform strategies and annual capital investments. - Deploy managerial and technical leadership to maximize project management effectiveness and deliver strong business value. - Lead innovation, capital programs, and projects to improve safety, reliability, product quality, productivity, and capacity across manufacturing and co‑manufacturing networks. - Partner with Plant Managers and Operations leaders to establish strategic direction, priorities, and execution alignment. - Collaborate with equipment and material suppliers, engineering consultants, and installation contractors to deliver successful project outcomes. - Support enterprise‑wide coordination across business platforms through effective communication and governance. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required with a discipline in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred. - Minimum of ten years of practical experience in food manufacturing, packaging technologies, and project management. - Engineering leadership experience within Food and Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, or regulated manufacturing environments governed by the Food and Drug Administration or United States Department of Agriculture. - Experience communicating technical requirements to non‑technical audiences. - Experience leading technical teams and managing capital programs in a multi‑site manufacturing organization. - Experience developing and managing capital budgets/projects of at least ten million dollars. Requirements - This position is located in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, select field locations or remote locations East of Denver, CO and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport. - Travel is variable depending on project timing and averages 50%.
