Key Account Manager
Affirm
• Act as a SME and team lead across omni-retail for best practices on managing accounts, driving outcomes and building relationships. • You will oversee a portfolio of key accounts and will be responsible for developing and driving strategic initiatives including complex contract negotiation, pricing and expansion opportunities to drive revenue and General Merchandise Volume (GMV). • You will lead and execute account plans that include financing optimizations, executive relationship engagement, and marketing strategies, often against ambitious timelines. • You will analyze partner performance and recommend programs to increase product adoption, grow up-funnel awareness and visibility, and sell into expansion opportunities. • You will orchestrate cross-functional teams across our Product, Technical, Credit, Analytics, Marketing, and Risk teams to execute partnership initiatives and drive business results. • Manage customer health to ensure overall customer satisfaction and business results. • Drive customer advocacy and critical issues by collaborating with development, product management, and support teams to improve the Affirm offering for our merchants.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 6-10 years of B2B client-facing experience in a high-tech environment and evidence of account growth/impact
- Experience negotiating and closing large, complex commercial contracts for F100 companies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to give compelling presentations
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects with a high attention to detail
- Ability to build and manage productive internal and external relationships and influence towards outcomes; outstanding executive presence
- Excellent analytical abilities to review merchant performance and report on the impact of specific programs to internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of retail, consumer finance offerings, integrated software solutions, and e-commerce preferred
- Comfortable using Salesforce and standard BI tools.

• Manage and deepen relationships with WorkMotion’s global Employer of Record (EOR) partner/supplier network, which allows us to compliantly employ talents in countries. • Assist internal WorkMotion teams with partner escalations, stepping in directly to resolve operational, high-impact, or high-risk escalations, ensuring service continuity, consistency, and accountability across the network. • Act as the central point of contact for all partner-related matters, coordinating between partners and internal WorkMotion teams regarding escalations, operational shifts, and strategic initiatives. • Measure and evaluate partner performance, driving consistency and improvements across service quality, responsiveness, knowledge, compliance, and data quality. • Prepare and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key partners. • Own commercial outcomes, including pricing negotiation strategy and partner profitability margin performance. • Find and establish new collaboration opportunities and synergies with new and existing partners/suppliers across the entire global WorkMotion network. • Work closely with Operations, Payroll, Finance, and Legal teams to make sure how we work with partners translates into a great experience for our clients and their employees. • Maintain and update partner documents, records, and data to ensure accuracy and audit-readiness. • Identify and mitigate risks, inefficiencies, or gaps in our partner management systems and internal processes.
• Lead and support a team of underwriters, including training, coaching, and performance management • Review new and renewal submissions for eligibility, pricing, and coverage terms • Provide guidance and support to team members on underwriting decisions and processes • Communicate underwriting decisions and rationale to brokers and agents • Maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and carrier or syndicate partners • Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and compliance requirements • Support communication of underwriting appetite and program guidelines to brokerage partners • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members • Support onboarding and development of underwriting staff • Assist with departmental operations and workflow coordination • Support consistent underwriting practices to contribute to program performance • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
