Role Description Join BILL’s Strategy & Operations team as a Director, where you will partner with our Product organization to develop product strategy and ensure efficient execution of highest priority initiatives. This role will work closely with leadership of our Product organization, collaborating deeply with broader functions across BILL, including Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, and Data Analytics organizations. The ideal candidate has strong business intuition, exceptional organization and project management skills, and can effortlessly build relationships to influence and support stakeholders. Additionally, this work will contribute heavily to the ongoing development and execution of BILL’s AI vision. Responsibilities: - Lead the development and ongoing refinement of product strategy, ensuring alignment with BILL’s corporate priorities and long-term vision. - Drive the operating rhythm for the Product Organization (e.g., OKRs, business reviews, planning cycles), creating clarity on goals, progress, and trade-offs. - Lead comprehensive planning processes for the Software BU, maintaining a quarterly, annual / 18-month roadmap. - Structure and execute complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives—from problem definition through recommendation, implementation, and post-mortem learning. - Analyze business, product, and customer data to generate insights, build robust models, and translate findings into clear recommendations for senior leaders. - Craft executive-ready presentations and narratives that communicate strategy, performance, and key decisions to Product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. - Partner with Product, Engineering, GTM, and Finance to translate strategy into roadmaps, KPIs, and resourcing plans. - Advocate for data-driven decision-making across the organization, establishing robust frameworks for evaluating trade-offs and impact. - Serve as a visible leader and thought partner—creating structure for complex challenges and accelerating high-visibility initiatives. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience, with direct expertise in both Strategy Consulting and at a company in a Product-related role. - Robust experience partnering closely with Product and Engineering leaders to shape strategy and drive cross-functional execution. - Deep familiarity with GenAI software offerings and experience scaling AI initiatives within software businesses. - Demonstrated experience driving high-impact, strategic initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders through data-driven recommendations. - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort working with data to build models, size opportunities, and inform trade-off decisions. - Outstanding communication and influence skills, with a track record of creating executive-level materials and aligning senior stakeholders without formal authority. - Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, thriving in ambiguity, driving structure, and proactively moving work from idea to impact.
