Role Description We are looking for an experienced Creative Director (Copy-led) who will co-lead the company’s voice and messaging alongside our Co-Founder. You will own copy and creative direction across all customer touchpoints and drive measurable improvements in conversions, revenue, and audience engagement. You’ll work directly with the Co-Founder as the Copy Chief and Creative Lead, partnering with Growth/Media to support creative testing and iteration, and directing Creative Production (copywriters, designers, and video editors) to execute at a high standard. Core Responsibilities - Own and optimize all company messaging and creative strategy across the funnel, ensuring high conversion rates, consistent brand voice, and predictable performance. - Messaging and Creative Strategy - Own messaging strategy and copy architecture across the funnel (cold traffic → conversion). - Develop campaign concepts, hooks, angles, and creative strategy for evergreen and launches. - Build scalable systems: Brand Voice Playbook, frameworks, templates, SOPs. - Funnel and Performance Copywriting (Hands-on) - Write and edit performance copy: paid ads, landing pages, VSL/webinar scripts, email sequences, YouTube scripts. - Review and refine founder-created content with strategic edits and feedback. - Create frameworks/templates that make copy production scalable and consistent. - Creative Direction and Production Oversight - Brief and direct copywriters/video editors (you won’t design/edit, but you direct execution and potentially rehire if necessary). - Maintain creative vision, quality, and speed across outputs. - Run reviews and provide clear, actionable feedback to contractors. - Brand Voice Ownership and QA - Build and maintain the Brand Voice Playbook and messaging guidelines. - Own QA and final approvals across all channels (proofing, links, formatting, tone, claims checks). - Final sign-off before anything publishes. - Optimization and Research - Partner with Media Buyer to test and iterate based on performance data (CTR, CVR, VSL watch time, booking rate, revenue per lead/call). - Conduct voice-of-customer research and translate insights into messaging that converts. Qualifications - 7 years of professional direct-response copywriting experience in high-ticket online education, coaching, or other services. - Proven track record building $1M+ high-ticket funnels (book-a-call, webinar, VSL). - Proven track record conducting voice-of-customer research and creating high-converting angles. - Experience managing the creative QA process with final approval ownership. - Experience utilizing AI tools to increase output without sacrificing quality. - Proven track record of managing team members - comfortable hiring, onboarding and offboarding when needed. - Experience owning creative direction across the entire company and marketing channels. - Must have personally developed: - Hooks - Lead mechanisms - Objection stacks - Offer positioning - Conversion flow logic Requirements - Able to capture, protect, and elevate a founder-led brand voice. - Highly analytical and optimization-focused. - Confident giving direct, constructive, and data-driven feedback. - Detail-oriented, with strong QA instincts. - Comfortable with platform standards and responsible claims for marketing content. - Clear, reliable communicator with strong async habits (Slack/Loom). - Nice to have: First-hand experience of long-term marriage dynamics (helps you write with nuance for our audience).
