Regional Sales Manager
Mattr
• Drive profitable sales growth within an assigned geographic and/or market segment by targeting OEMs and end‑users to generate demand for DSG‑Canusa and Shawflex products. • Conduct customer visits, meetings, and technical presentations to specifying engineers to influence product selection and specification. • Coordinate regional sales activities with the Inside Sales team to support targeting and execution efforts. • Develop, manage, and execute an effective channel and distribution strategy, including distributor training, joint customer visits, and support of the established sales representative network. • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, agents, and other key stakeholders through regular in‑person engagement, supported by phone and email communication. • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned to sales, bookings, margin, and budget objectives. • Maintain a strong market presence by participating in industry committees, attending trade shows and industry events, and networking within the region. • Maintain accurate customer profiles, contact records, and activity reporting, including monthly reports and visit/status updates. • Support marketing and strategic initiatives by attending regional trade shows and collaborating with product managers to share market intelligence, competitive insights, industry trends, and new product opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in heat‑shrinkable tubing, wire and cable, or a comparable technical or industrial market.
- Proven experience with technical selling and channel management concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong ability to manage complex sales opportunities from qualification through quotation and order fulfillment.
- Sound judgment in pricing, margin management, and commercial decision‑making within established approval frameworks.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently, up to approximately 50% of the time.

• Manage Key Account Program - Set Quarterly Goals for KAR relevant to seasonality and market trends - Provide information and support for DMs to manage and support Key Accounts in their geographic area of responsibility. • Based on the defined Go to Market strategy and the level of customer - Call on National, Strategic, and Key Account customers within the region to further develop the relationships with those customers and promote the products and services of Sunbelt Rentals while aiding in the further development of the Key Account program. • Responsible for cross-leveraging and communicating assigned key account opportunities to other districts and regions within Sunbelt • Sales Support - Work with RVP and DMs to develop and facilitate sales training initiatives. - Work with RVP on strategies relative to sales territory coverage, rate initiatives, fleet on rent goals, etc. - Work with DMs and PCMs on market specific sales strategies and implementation of those strategies. - Work with DMs, PCMs and Human Resources on recruitment, selection and development of OSRs. - Work with the Sales Support Team on creation and validation of sales territories. - Work with RVP, DMs, and PCMs on CSR development and support. • Operational Support - Work with RVP on development, communication and implementation of Regional Go to Market strategies. - Support through DMs, PCMs, and SF the fleet rent ready standard through interaction with PCMs and Shop Foreman during PC visits. - Work with RVP and DMs to develop and implement facility appearance standards for all facilities in the region.
• Lead, develop, and oversee the team of Account Executives • Ensure achievement of commercial targets and drive ongoing improvement in team performance • Lead recruitment and hiring of new sales representatives • Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and generate insights for continuous improvement • Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements to commercial processes • Ensure consistent application of the sales methodology • Support strategic negotiations and consultative sales • Provide strategic input on the market, opportunities, and operations
