• Act as the design authority for Luma-based customer solutions • Define logical and physical architectures covering applications, data, integrations, identity, environments and operations • Ensure architectural consistency across multiple customer engagements • Shape functional requirements in collaboration with Scientific Architect and Application Scientists • Own non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, resilience, observability, accessibility, internationalisation, and maintainability • Design integration approaches using technologies such as Apache NiFi, APIs, batch pipelines, and event-driven patterns • Architect Luma solutions that integrate with customer enterprise systems including ELNs, LIMS, SDMS, PLM, ERP, Instrument data systems • Apply security best practices covering IAM, data protection, tenancy, and compliance • Act as senior technical advisor to customers, including IT leadership and enterprise architects • Provide architectural guidance to other Solution Architects, Technical Leads, Application Scientists, and Delivery Partners

This role is an intentional blend of API design, app architecture, code review, DevOps, release management, technical spikes, and client communication. Who you are What you bring to the table At least 7-10 years of software engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment or as part of an in-house, cross-functional product team. Experience building consumer-facing native mobile and web applications, with a fluent command of the native languages and core frameworks. Demonstrated expertise architecting, building, maintaining, and scaling modern software on various platforms. Ability to design, setup, and maintain DevOps pipelines using various tools and techniques. Ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage complex deployments. Scripting expertise (Unix shell, Ruby, Perl, etc.). Experience designing APIs and writing API specifications. Ability to clearly articulate technical requirements to other engineers. An understanding of computer networking (e.g. VPNs, SSH, Wi-Fi) and have experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks. • Own the end-to-end technical implementation for strategic clients, from initial data ingestion to complex group configurations in the Syndio platform. • Use advanced AI prompt engineering to navigate product exceptions and architect creative solutions for unique client edge cases that "out of the box" features don't yet cover. • Ensure the platform isn't just "live"; it’s embedded. You will design configurations that make Syndio an indispensable part of a client’s daily HR and compensation workflow. • Work with modern integration tools and help migrate existing clients to our new, high-scale Implementation Platform. • Act as the technical voice of the customer. You will provide direct feedback to the Core Engineering and Product teams to help shape the future of our Data ingestion and Pay Intelligence products.
