Staff Accountant – Client Funds
Wrapbook
• Own daily cash reconciliations of client funds across Wrapbook’s internal ledger and payment systems • Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences in a high-volume transaction environment • Identify, document, and manually record missing or incomplete money movements through journal entries • Build a strong understanding of end-to-end money movement across Wrapbook’s systems • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Data, Client Operations, and Corporate Accounting • Improve visibility and confidence in client fund balances and related assets and liabilities, supporting accurate financial reporting. Help define and mature reconciliation processes. • Develop deep expertise in Wrapbook's money movement architecture, including how funds flow between client accounts, payment processors, banking partners, and internal systems • Document and map end-to-end money movement workflows, building institutional knowledge of fund timing, dependencies, and edge cases • Actively contribute to automation and AI-assisted reconciliation initiatives, helping translate real reconciliation pain points into scalable solutions
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated ownership of daily cash or funds reconciliations, including investigation and resolution of differences
- Ability to prepare and record manual journal entries related to cash, assets, and liabilities
- Experience working in payments, money movement, or transaction-heavy environments with high-volume data
- Strong understanding of money movement logic and how funds flow across systems
- Comfort working with large, complex datasets in dynamic, systems-driven environments, where accuracy and attention to detail are critical
- Working knowledge of Excel sufficient to analyze large datasets and perform reconciliations
- Natural problem-solver who enjoys investigating discrepancies, connecting the dots across data sources, and working through complex reconciliation puzzles
- Critical thinker with the ability to independently diagnose issues, evaluate multiple possible explanations, and determine the most likely root cause
- High tolerance for ambiguity and a problem-solving mindset
- Curiosity about process improvement, automation, or AI-assisted workflows
