Role Description At Mindera, we believe that software is built by people, for people, with high-performance systems that impact users worldwide. We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join an agile, collaborative team where your voice matters as much as your code. You won’t just be slicing designs; you’ll be a technical partner helping us design and build high-performance, secure, and scalable front-end solutions. We have a strong focus on React and Next and modern JavaScript, along with server-side rendering concepts to create seamless, isomorphic applications. We value empathy, self-organization, and a positive attitude. If you are approachable, communicate clearly, and believe that team fit is just as important as technical prowess, you’ll feel right at home here. National and international expected traveling time varies according to project/client and organizational needs: 0%-15% estimated. How You’ll Contribute - Build & Maintain: Own the lifecycle of our front-end applications, ensuring they are secure, high-performing, and built with scalability in mind. - Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban), thriving with minimal supervision. - Continuous Improvement: Champion best practices in SEO, accessibility, and performance optimization (Core Web Vitals) to ensure our products reach everyone. We’re Looking for Someone Who... - Communicates with Clarity: You are approachable and enjoy expressing ideas and collaborating efficiently in English. - Values Team Fit: You contribute to a positive atmosphere and believe that being "easy to work with" is a core technical skill. - Is Self-Driven: You are passionate about your craft and comfortable navigating complex projects with a high degree of autonomy. Your Technical Toolkit - Core: Strong experience in React.js and Next.js is a must. - State & Data: Proficiency with Redux (or similar state management) and familiarity with both GraphQL and REST APIs. - The Basics: Solid skills in HTML5, CSS3, and pre/post-processors (SASS, LESS, PostCSS). - Testing: Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Enzyme. - Observability: Knowledge of performance optimization and tools like New Relic, Grafana or Core Web Vitals. - Cloud: While we primarily use Azure, having experience is considered a strong plus. - Diversity: We highly value varied tech experience—exposure to different stacks and environments is a huge plus! Recruitment Stages - Screening - Reviewing CVs and eligibility verification. - 1st Call - 30-minute call to assess Technical & Culture Fit with an IT Recruiter. - Tech Interview - 2-hour call with two of our Frontend Engineers to assess your knowledge in depth, including theoretical scenarios and live exercises. - Cultural Interview - 1-hour call with a Minder to assess cultural fit and align expectations. - Project/Client Call - A 45-minute to 1-hour call with the client or project team to assess technical fit for a specific mission. Benefits - We work in a self-organization culture and therefore we offer a flexible, supportive environment where you are trusted to manage your own time and career. - Well-being First: health insurance and "Open Holidays" because we trust you to know when you need a break. - Flexible Working hours and Work: Work from our vibrant hubs in Porto, Aveiro, or Coimbra, or choose a remote setup that works for you. As long as you are based in Portugal :) - Career Growth: A dedicated budget for training and conferences, plus a transparent profit-sharing model. - Tools for Success: Choose Laptop & Peripherals that best suit your needs, plus Hotspot with unlimited usage (PT), for work or Netflix ;) - Team work makes the dream Work: Mindera Annual Trip, Sports, and sharing groups to connect and have fun! Company Description At Mindera, we use technology to build products we are proud of, with people we love. - We believe diverse teams build better products. - Mindera is a place where you can be your authentic self, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, or background. - We strive to create an environment where everyone feels they belong and has an equal opportunity to grow. - Our culture reflects our lean and self-management mindset, encouraging colleagues to take risks, make decisions, collaborate openly, and communicate with everyone. - Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand, and we value commitment, feedback, and empathy. - We are proud of our work and love learning about everything as we navigate an Agile, Lean, and collaborative environment.
