Senior Appian Developer – QA
KBR, Inc.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Appian applications based on business and technical requirements • Execute manual and automated tests to validate workflows, interfaces, and integrations within Appian • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms; collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution • Perform regression testing for new releases and updates to ensure existing functionality remains intact • Validate application performance under various conditions and recommend optimizations where necessary • Work closely with Business Analysts and developers to clarify requirements and ensure accurate test coverage • Maintain detailed test documentation, including test results, defect logs, and quality metrics • Recommend improvements to testing processes and contribute to best practices for Appian quality assurance • Participate in Agile ceremonies and integrate testing activities into iterative development cycles • Ensure compliance with data security standards and validate secure application behavior
Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 3–5 years of experience in software testing, including Appian applications, or a High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in testing in lieu of degree
- Hands-on experience testing Appian applications, including process models, interfaces, and integrations
- Ability to create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex workflows and integrations
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for defect tracking and test management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly document defects and communicate testing results to stakeholders
