Technical Writer – Cybersecurity

Remote World

Role Description You'll produce the technical documentation that helps security engineers deploy, configure, and get full value from the platform — including admin guides, API docs, threat response playbooks, and release notes. You'll work directly with product and engineering to stay ahead of each release. - Write and maintain product documentation including admin and configuration guides - Document API integrations and SIEM connector setup procedures - Create threat response playbooks and security runbooks for enterprise users - Write release notes and feature announcements for each product update - Audit existing documentation for technical accuracy and coverage gaps Qualifications - Strong technical writing skills with excellent written English - Comfortable working with complex, security-focused subject matter - Able to interview engineers and translate outputs into clear documentation - Organised and delivery-focused across multiple simultaneous projects Requirements - Background in cybersecurity, IT, or a related technical field (nice to have) - Familiarity with SIEM tools, EDR, or enterprise security concepts (nice to have) - Experience with docs-as-code workflows (Git, Markdown, static site generators) (nice to have) Benefits - $700–$1,100 USD/month based on experience - Fully remote with flexible hours - Specialist domain with strong career value - Paid leave - Path into senior writing, developer relations, or security engineering roles
