Summer Internship – Security Engineering
Aledade, Inc.
• Assist with the deployment and configuration of security tools, including SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms and AI detection and monitoring tools to enable AI detection and monitoring • Support infrastructure security efforts such as architecture reviews and threat modeling for new and existing services. • Help integrate security tooling across cloud environments to improve visibility and protection. • Collaborate with the security engineering team to automate security processes using scripting languages such as Python or Bash. • Participate in security assessments and contribute to vulnerability management activities. • Research emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends to support the team's knowledge base. • Document security processes, findings, and tool configurations to support team knowledge sharing.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters degree program in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
- Foundational knowledge of operating systems (Linux and/or Windows).
- Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). Understanding of core security concepts including authentication, encryption, and access control. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
