ConductorOne is the first AI-native identity security platform that protects every identity: human, non-human, and AI. With powerful automation, platform-level AI, and out-of-the-box connectors, it centralizes access visibility, enforces fine-grained controls, enables just-in-time access, and automates user access reviews across all apps. It’s easy to use, quick to deploy, and trusted by enterprises like DigitalOcean, Instacart, Ramp, and Zscaler. The Role We’re looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer who thrives on solving hard problems, has an insatiable curiosity about AI, and genuinely enjoys being the person everyone trusts to keep things running—and to make them better. In this role, you’ll own and evolve our internal technology stack, from endpoint management to SaaS administration to infrastructure automation. You’ll be the go-to person for workplace technology across ConductorOne, tackling everything from strategic platform decisions to the hands-on troubleshooting that keeps a fast-growing company moving. This isn’t a traditional IT role. You’ll be expected to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI-driven tooling, automation, and modern IT practices. If you’re the type who reads about a new AI workflow tool on a weekend and has it prototyped by Monday, you’ll fit right in. What You’ll Do • Own the IT stack end-to-end: Manage and optimize our SaaS ecosystem (Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Zoom, Jira/Linear, GitHub, etc.), endpoint fleet (macOS-primary), and networking/security infrastructure. • Be the fixer: Triage and resolve any and all workplace technology problems—from access issues and hardware failures to complex integration bugs. No problem is beneath you, and no problem is too hard. • Automate relentlessly: Build scripts, workflows, and integrations that eliminate manual toil. Leverage AI tools and LLMs to streamline IT operations, ticket triage, onboarding/offboarding, and day-to-day support. • Drive AI adoption internally: Evaluate, pilot, and roll out AI-powered tools to boost productivity across the company. Be a champion for responsible AI use and help shape our internal AI policies and best practices. • Manage identity and access: Administer identity providers, SSO, MFA, and access governance—and yes, dogfood ConductorOne’s own platform to manage access across our environment. • Scale for growth: Design and implement IT processes, policies, and infrastructure that scale as the company grows from ~100 employees and beyond. • Secure our environment: Partner with the security team to harden endpoints, enforce compliance policies, manage MDM, respond to security events, and maintain a strong security posture. • Support onboarding and offboarding: Ensure every new hire has a seamless day-one experience and every departure is handled securely and completely. • Vendor management: Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers. What We’re Looking For Required • 7+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, infrastructure, or a related technical role, ideally in high-growth SaaS or technology companies. • Deep expertise managing macOS fleets at scale (Fleet, Jamf, Kandji, or similar MDM). • Strong experience with identity and access management platforms (Okta, Azure AD/Entra, Google Workspace Admin). • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Go, Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar) and a track record of building internal tooling. • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Experience administering and integrating a broad SaaS portfolio across an organization. • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a bias for action—you don’t wait for someone else to fix it. • Strong communication skills; able to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders. AI Curiosity & Experience • Demonstrated interest or hands-on experience with AI/ML tools, LLMs, or AI-powered IT operations (AIOps). This could range from using Copilot/ChatGPT in your daily workflow to building AI-driven automation pipelines. • Eagerness to experiment with emerging AI technologies and apply them to real-world IT problems. • Comfort evaluating AI tools for security, privacy, and enterprise readiness. • Bonus: experience with AI agents, MCP (Model Context Protocol), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or building internal AI assistants. Nice to Have • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation). • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMPz, GDPR) and audit processes. • Prior experience in an identity security or cybersecurity company. • Contributions to open-source projects or community involvement. • Experience with ConductorOne or similar identity governance platforms. Why ConductorOne? • Build at the frontier: Work at a company that’s AI-native from the ground up, solving one of the most important problems in cybersecurity. • Real impact: Your work directly enables the team that’s securing millions of identities for some of the world’s best companies. • World-class team: Join a culture of grit, creativity, and customer obsession built by founders with deep domain expertise from Okta. • Growth trajectory: Revenue tripled last year. We’re backed by $100M+ in funding and expanding rapidly. • Competitive compensation: Competitive salary, equity, comprehensive benefits, and the flexibility of a hybrid/remote-first environment.
