Guidewire QA Engineer

Centric Consulting

Role Description Centric Consulting is seeking a QA Engineer with Guidewire ClaimCenter experience. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with ClaimCenter, understands insurance claims workflows, and can quickly translate production issues and business requirements into effective, high-quality test scenarios. - Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios for Guidewire ClaimCenter, including positive, negative, regression, and edge-case testing. - Analyze production defects and incidents, reproduce issues, and create targeted test cases to prevent recurrence. - Partner with developers, business analysts, and support teams to validate bug fixes and enhancements. - Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across ClaimCenter and connected systems. - Validate data integrity across integrations (policy, billing, payments, document systems, and third-party vendors). - Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices. - Participate in release validation and smoke testing for production deployments. - Identify test coverage gaps, especially around failure scenarios, exception handling, and boundary conditions. - Support UAT cycles and collaborate with business users to ensure requirements are met. - Contribute to test automation efforts where applicable (API or UI-level). - Ensure adherence to QA best practices and continuous improvement of testing processes. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in QA/testing roles in enterprise applications. - Hands-on experience testing Guidewire ClaimCenter, specifically Worker’s Comp in ClaimCenter. - Strong experience in writing detailed test cases and test scenarios. - Designing and executing negative tests and edge cases. - Defect management and root cause validation. - Experience with integration testing across multiple systems. - Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI). - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in production support contexts. Preferred Qualifications - Guidewire Certification (Associate or Professional, ClaimCenter preferred). - Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP). - Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, REST Assured, or similar). - Experience with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, or similar). - Knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques. - Understanding of P&C insurance claims processes.
