Role Description Everyday Dose is a fast-growing CPG brand selling functional coffee and wellness products through DTC (Shopify), major retail partners, and Amazon. We are looking for a Controller to own the full accounting function and help us build the infrastructure to scale. This is a hands-on role with direct access to leadership and real ownership over how the finance function runs. - Close & Reporting - Own the monthly close and produce a clean reporting package for leadership across a multi-channel P&L - Manage channel-level Gross-to-Net revenue reporting, including trade accruals and returns reserves - Experience building or maintaining contribution margin P&Ls by channel or product - Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition - Track record of hitting a 5-7 business day close in a complex environment - Inventory & COGS - Own inventory cost accounting and variance analysis across multiple locations - Partner cross-functionally to maintain a clear, real-time picture of where inventory is and what it’s worth - Experience with IRC 263A, able to own or coordinate the calculation - Omni-channel Accounting - Direct experience managing AR for wholesale accounts, including retailer deductions and chargeback resolution - Comfortable with high-transaction DTC revenue flows, subscription mechanics, and Shopify-based reconciliation - Hands-on experience with Amazon FBA accounting, including inventory placement, fee structures, and settlement reconciliation - Tax & Compliance - Multi-state corporate income tax experience, including coordinating with external advisors on federal and state filings - Owns sales tax compliance internally: nexus tracking, filing, and remittance via a third-party partner - Familiarity with how Amazon FBA inventory placement creates sales tax nexus across states - Audit & Controls - Has led or participated in an annual audit or review engagement and can help manage the auditor relationship and PBC list - Builds and maintains internal controls proactively, not just in response to audit findings - Thinks about control design in the context of a fast-moving, high-growth business where process needs to scale - Systems & Infrastructure - Comfortable owning an ERP and has opinions about what good looks like in system design - Builds scalable close infrastructure: reconciliation templates, checklists, and documentation standards - Experience with ERP migration is a strong plus - Team - Player-coach who can manage and mentor 1-2 accounting staff while staying close to the work - Sets clear expectations, reviews work thoroughly, and builds a culture of accuracy and ownership Qualifications - CPA with 8-12+ years of experience, including at least 2-3 years as Controller or Senior Accounting Manager - Background in CPG, Food & Beverage, or a multi-channel consumer brand with physical inventory - DTC, Amazon, and retail accounting experience - Direct experience with IRC 263A, ASC 606, and ASC 330 - Multi-state tax compliance, including sales tax nexus with FBA complexity - ERP experience, NetSuite and QBO preferred - Experience managing or mentoring a small accounting team Benefits - Competitive salary - Fully remote (US-based) - $500/month wellness benefit - Childcare credit - 401(k) with employer contribution - Health, dental, and vision - Meaningful ownership and visibility at a fast-growing consumer brand

Role Description Heritage MEP is looking for a hands-on Controller to help build the finance infrastructure for a growing multi-entity mechanical services platform. This is not just a traditional close-and-report role. You’ll work closely with the CFO to improve processes, standardize reporting, strengthen controls, and help scale the accounting function across multiple operating companies. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, building better systems, and creating a finance organization that can grow with the business. Our platform currently includes 10 operating companies, with additional companies expected to join. The environment is dynamic, acquisition-driven, and operationally complex. We are also in the middle of a Sage Intacct implementation, so this role will play a major part in helping shape how accounting runs across the platform going forward. Role Description The Corporate Controller reports directly to the CFO and functions as a hands-on leader within the Finance and Accounting team. The Controller is responsible for the company’s accounting operations in the US and Malaysia, with subscription sales into over 70 countries, as well as financial transactions, reporting and compliance functions. Most immediately, our Corporate Controller will help to lead the accounting for Staritas’ recent carveout, including the stand-up of accounting and transaction reporting systems. This includes building a high-performance team, implementing best-in-class systems and processes including NetSuite, Zone Advanced Billing, and Salesforce, and developing and implementing world-class reporting and analytics to drive critical data-based decision-making. Throughout, this role will collaborate as a key member of the management team to lead our accounting policies and principles, practices, procedures and initiatives, ensuring that we have the proper internal controls to maintain our books and records in accordance with GAAP. As our principal accounting leader, you will lead and perform technical accounting research, coordinate all external audits, provide accurate information for all tax filings, be a leader and mentor to the accounting team, while also having extensive interaction with our senior leadership team and our private equity owners. This is a highly visible role with high growth potential. Key Responsibilities: - Own and lead all accounting functions with accounting operations in the US and Malaysia. - Execute the carve-out including the stand up of financial systems and purchase accounting, as well as operations under our transition service agreement during the system implementations and ultimately TSA exit. - Be a strategic business partner to senior leadership, offering financial insights and recommendations to support the achievement of organizational goals. - Ensure accurate and timely presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP, as well as requirements in multi-national statutory financial information. - Envision and execute best practices in all areas of accounting, revenue recognition, procure to pay, invoice to collection, payroll, fixed assets, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes across the globe. - Take a lead role in systems implementation and developing the infrastructure to operate as a stand-alone company, including implementing the proper internal controls. - Lead the annual consolidated audit process, coordinating with the external auditors and internal team to facilitate a smooth audit with no surprises. - Manage the month-end close process and consolidation, along with coordinating with FP&A in developing and tracking KPI’s and reporting to senior management and the Board. - Monitor foreign exchange impact on the business and implement strategies to manage currency risk. - Maintain compliance with all regulations across geographies, regularly providing accurate data to our Tax advisors. - Measure and monitor efficiency of cash collections from customers, designing methods to reduce DSO. - Working with the FP&A leader, collaborate in designing accurate measures to design and monitor an accurate 13-week cash forecast. - Collaborate with team in setting accounting policies and principles. - Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative, caring, trusting, and high-performance culture. - Based on many years of senior leadership experience, provide coaching and development opportunities to leverage team member skills and interests, contributing in meaningful ways to their career growth. - Maintain comprehensive documentation in support of accounting positions and conclusions, including detailed technical memos on revenue recognition, purchase accounting, lease accounting, and other key areas. - Direct statutory audits and compliance in Malaysia and elsewhere as needed around the world. - Manage the direct and indirect tax function. Manage quarterly income tax provision and estimated federal and state income tax payments. Oversight and review of federal and state income tax filings. Ensure compliance with all relevant sales and use tax requirements. - Oversee review of new accounting literature to ensure company's compliance therewith. Advises CFO of potential impact of new accounting pronouncements. - Drives continuous improvement through a relentless commitment to ongoing process improvement by gaining buy-in to and leading successful change management efforts. - Partner with FP&A and operations in development of comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. - Evaluate ROI on projects and investments, and recommend options. - Actively participate in the diligence, closing, and integration of M&A candidates as part of our inorganic expansion initiative. Qualifications - 20+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, with a successful track record as a Corporate Controller in a PE-owned, multi-national technology company. - Experience working in a private equity-owned company, where world-class standards are consistently expected and executed. - Comprehensive and well-rounded technical GAAP accounting skills, including software revenue recognition. - Proven leader who is effective in multi-tasking while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including management and private equity colleagues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations, with deep experience in the SaaS industry. - Proficient knowledge of financial accounting applications, NetSuite accounting software experience a plus. - Hands-on individual who can contribute to all aspects of the finance function, including managing an accounting team in Malaysia. - Demonstrated ability to contribute operationally and strategically to the development and execution of business strategies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. - Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA preferred.
