Materials Planner

Role Description As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for Material Requirements Planning systems for the manufacturing network. You will develop and maintain MRP systems, ensuring material supplies are available at manufacturing plants. You will also manage ingredients and materials ordering and planning, support production inventory levels, and drive continuous improvement in MRP systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to implement planning processes and align on materials activities. A Day in the Life... - Analyze inventory requirements vs. forecast/production plan; balance system wide inventory levels and sourcing adjustments - Analyze and develop critical planning parameters (lead time, safety stock, economic order quantity, etc.); provide direction to plant material coordinators on lead times, delivery needs, changes, contracts, safety stock levels, and scheduling agreements - Develop and implement Material Planning processes associated with co-pack or alliance start-ups. Work with Procurement and Co-pack team to determine requirements, align on responsibilities, develop processes and provide SAP training as needed. - Set up and maintain Material Master data in SAP; Resource accounts payable for invoicing and resolve blocked invoices; create PO’s, contracts, scheduling agreements in SAP; provide daily, weekly and monthly reports. - Assist in purchasing activities with vendors, Manufacturing and R&D departments.
