What you will do - Designs residential roof and floor systems and produces layouts. - Discusses changes and corrections with engineers, architects and contractors prior to and during construction. - Presents, sells and follows-up on new jobs. - Prepares roof truss and truss joist floor layouts. - Performs job site inspections. - Produces materials list. - Determines special notes to append contracts. - Resolves architectural and design discrepancies. - Assists in the shipping department. - Read and understand blueprints and detailed technical drawings. - Use computer or other technical equipment to provide a technically accurate layout (takeoff) of customer order. - Adhere to local building codes and material constraints when developing material list and design layout. - Produce final copies for contractor use for bathrooms, kitchens, decks, patios and others as assigned. - Assist customers as required, providing accurate, timely and thorough customer service. - Measure and scale projects on-site. - Invoice project, schedule installation and delivery of products and materials. • Work with the product, business and technology teams to define, scope and manage the end-to-end product experience • Manage the design team activities from research and ideation through to execution and ensure consistent high-quality outcomes • Guide UX designers on design strategy related to research and insights generation and then execute high quality UX artefacts • Guide UI designers on executing best in class visual design work that is consistent, on brand and user backed • Work with the front end developers to ensure the successful implementation of the visual design and product interaction • Mentor and coach the design teams, specifically with new ways of working and mapping strategy to execution • Identify and remove team impediments • Work with CPO and POs to align the roadmap to vision and continuous insights to ensure voice of the customer is heard • Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid to challenge the status quo • Attend events and sessions, promoting customer focus, and being visible at town hall events. • Synchronizing customer research and map customer journeys for the constituent across teams • Synthesize customer insights across research by each team at the journey level • Help define and shape the experience strategy, facilitating work sessions with stakeholders and users to define key design goals and requirements.
